I've seen dumber; I was at a derby where a pissed-off driver climbed out of his car and went after a guy WHILE THE HEAT WAS STILL GOING ON. Damn fool was lucky not to be killed.

As a derby driver getting hit in the door pisses me off and you can’t really tell if it was intentional or not as a driver. Shit happens in the heat of the moment especially with the adrenaline involved.
i love the fall colors in this video. and for the derby, at least these folks were running into each other. my local county fair derby totally sucks, every year. it's just a sandbagging push fest.

The door hit WAS a complete accident on his side. While there was beef before hand my brother would never intentionally do something to injure a competitor. bit rich getting angry in a smash up derby cos you get smashed the video shows the guy turned just before he got hit in his door, not the 411 fault there has to be a zero tolerance for bad behaviour, he attacked another driver and a marshal
I did the "DERBY" years ago, you can not get "PISSED OFF", if you have an idiot that is in there just to "KILL THE CAR" , you get away from that driver, if you do not, you zero in on just that driver and "TUNE OUT" everything else on what is going on, you are going to get "KILLED". those hits that you do not see coming "HURT" the most!!!!

That wasn’t his fault he didn’t even have time to react dude spun his car around at the perfect angle to hit the door I’ve seen a few fights like this but it always amazes me shit happens you know the risks when you enter that’s like an mma fighter launching their crotch into the other fighters knee then attacking them for it 😅

there are a few that are just "SORE LOSERS", I witnessed one after the feature race was over, one driver got out of his car and went over to another driver that was out of his car as well and the one driver knocked the other out "COLD", right on the track!!!!

Watching the video over a few times i come to conclude it appears 411 had a fair and good trunk to rear hatch on 911 but 911 pulled a cheap trick used often in derby turning to expose their drivers door there for i can see with 411 having their rims painted making it easier for myself to identify they let off the throttle dreaming this to be an accidental drivers door hit and not intended 911 just lost their cool and should be ejected from the race and never to return
Back in the day I run many derbies a lot of times you can't help but to hit the driver's door unless it was deliberately planned that shit happens I have my driver's door beat in Sephora I was driving like a mailman sitting in the middle of the seat if you don't want to get hit don't join the demolition derby

I hope I can leave this comment short. I derby. I've been hit in the door. Like others have already said and more people will; "it does happen". I've seen worse hits than that even. Also, I don't know why they held up the derby just for this. Got beef; leave. There's a show going on. So here's the thing. When it started; it could have been going back to back. I don't know how that track is but we derby on more mud. That wagon was definitely driving in a curve and his door was going in the direction of the #411.
He didn’t turn until the last second. 411 was not at fault. Ive ran well over 200 derby’s. He was going for a back to back hit and the wags on turned last minute. Shit happens people need to quit being such little pussies about everything and move on

It was a 3 on 1 battle. The guy getting ganged up on hit one of the 3 in the driver's door. The 3 on 1 is uncalled for and so is the hit in the driver's door.
Number one rule in Derby racing don't hit driver's door never hit driver's door apparently 411 didn't get that memo that's what the issue was about that's why he got out of his car and went to 411 more less yelling at him telling him don't hit driver's door
I'm always baffled how when they have the beefiest cars available, Americans somehow manage to make smashing them up such a dull spectacle. Watch literally any UK or European banger race and compare the hits.

None of these are the the beefiest cars. They are all throw aways with a little bit of work put into them. Also should be noted that demo derby is among America's least popular forms of motor "sports"
