As an engineer, I have always been interested in how water gets into houses, how they are heated, how sewage is arranged. Where does everything go? I was surprised to find that Switzerland still prefers heating with wood. She extracts 8 million cubic meters of wood, of which 5 she uses herself and 3 more she sells. Gas is inconvenient to carry to the mountains to the highlanders. There were no representatives of Switzerland at the forum where Putin asked "... they gave up everything, what will you use to heat? With firewood?" Here the proud voice of a Swiss from the audience would have sounded "Yes, with firewood!" 😂
The Mediterranean countryside and vegetation reminds me of California. Very similar climate. Even the burnt areas are similar to California! Fire is an unfortunate feature of Mediterranean climates.
