@@user-yooo me too. He gained leagues when they set Albon to coach him, I think it's undeniable. Looking forward to seeing what Yuki and Alex can do next year!
So many people are talking about the Verstappen-Hamilton drama we dont pay enough attention to: Tsunoda finishing in p4 Sainz finishing in p5 in the drivers championship AHEAD of Leclerc Perez being the best teammate imagineable and then having a podium taken away from him
I'm a Max fan, I'm super happy he won, but massive props to Lewis for holding his head high and congratulating Max and looking him in the eye afterwards. It takes a big man to concede and accept and respect your opponent like that.
@@FerryXtheMercy It's Totos job to complain in a situation like this. The championship was literally taken from his driver by a safety car and a decision to let lapped cars through and not wait for a lap.
@@kerrykeith4740 Really short of memory, aren't you? Already forgotten Hamilton cutting off the corner by a mile at the start of the race and getting away with it. RB didn't agree with it at all but decided to let it rest instead of getting into utterly childish tantrum-mode like Wolfman Nag did 🤯👶 After his now so clearly utterly insincere bla bla ahead of the race. The only ones worse are some of the LH fantoddlers (can't even call them boys with the total lack of any mental age they're so blatantly displaying) 🙄
I think perez definetely same as kimi and... ham for dominating the race max wasn't the best this race but congratulation to Max and ham for greatest season of all
@@mateuszboj9664 wouldnt say max was bad i think the merc of lewis was just to quick in the last races… tbh it was a bit lucky how max got the victory but if you look at the hole season its more than deserved, he was by far the best driver on grid this season
Poor carlos, he’s consistently beating his young teammates that are considered “future world champions” but no one ever talks about him being a future wdc
As much as people give Lewis grief, he has been the most professional of his team the entire way through after that race. He has congratulated Max and Redbull all the way through the evening. Maybe everyone can cut him some slack now and admit he is actually a very talented driver and a pro on and off the track.
@@ChristyKrohne I am yet to see explicit whining from Horner, while Toto's namecalling Masi at the end of the race and begging him not to make it a full SC when Giovinazzi's car was being retrieved because RBs stopped and they didn't. Horner's dirtier over the season, I will give you that, but both TPs and Marko have lost most of my respect this season.
@@ChristyKrohne I think both Max and Lewis have been pretty respectful. Lewis' behavior in Silverstone and Max's at Monza were both kind of excusable - being in a title fight isn't easy and in those moments neither cooled down. Apart from that, they've both been super respectful. The Team Principals on the other hand.....
Tsunoda should get an applause too, he was close to finish in the podium. I mean, yeah, he hasn´t got the best rookie season debut and he is still learning but a 4th place after a 1 lap sprint and with drivers like Gasly, Bottas and Norris behind him is quite remarkable to achieve.
He made big progress. In the beginning of the season he made a lot of mistakes and was far behind Gasly. I think the last 2 to 3 races showed that they are now really close in terms of pace even though Gasly is a bit faster. But great progress nontheless.
It's what Bottas has been doing for years, but then low-key. But so many Lewis fans find it unfair Perez did it. Right moment for him to shine indeed! Heard yet discussion about him having to be replaced, that would mean 4th teammate for Max since Daniel left.
@@nlx78 checo did phenomenal slowing down Hamilton🤝 was great. But even if u are a red Bull fan. Deep down you know that this was Hamilton’s championship. Hamilton was absolutely killing max with max on mediums and Hamilton on hards about 2-4 tenths per lap with the tire difference. Hamilton is the real winner.
@@diegobaez9446 It may have been Hamilton's race, but not Hamilton's championship. Throughut the season Hamiton had more luck (taking out Max in Silverstone, Max getting half points for Spa), so just because this time in the last race it happenned that Max got luckier does not mean that he wasn't better throughout the season
@@diegobaez9446 The race? Yes. The Championship? Nope. Max had 10 wins, broke the record for the most podiums and led the most laps over the season. Except the unfortunate events in Baku, Monza, Silverstone, and Hungary, the lowest he finished was 2nd. You can't be unbiased and say Lewis deserved the entire championship over Max.
Shall we talk about Tsunoda in P4??? Wow! The kid had a massive improvement in these last few races! EDIT: I bet Kimi went out first to be the Last post-race interview we will have in 2021.
What Perez did here was on another level. He completely offered everthing he had in his skillbook to fight FOR verstappen and risking his race, and ended his race early so that the safety car doesnt stay out longer if he has to retire on the track. This type of person is what you want in a teammate and friend.
@@ananthu8534 the difference between bottas and Perez is that what Perez does comes from his desire to help the team and his teammate. What bottas does comes from team orders . Their intention is the real difference between which teammate is the better teammate
Danny Ric speaking facts. He knows it's a whole different drama with the safety car.. That level of class from Lewis, hats off man. He lost a world title on a day where he was flawless.
Lewis won this race and the Championship, he knows it, we know it. That's why you see him so strong, calm and confident even after all the circus today.
@@jameslau8051 Max intentionally took him out while he was winning and landed on top of his car that race. I think it's pretty clear that Lewis is a more worthy champion
Checo is a gentleman! He did help Max twice this weekend once during Q3 for the slip stream and secondly to hold off Lewis during racing. Superb team mate but felt bad he did not get that podium. More luck with qualifying and podium next season 👏
As Horner said, Checo was always asking how he could better help Max without a thought for himself. I really hope Checo gets more opportunities next year, as he deserves them.
@@stephentuthill4598 It's funny because prior to this season, many people were saying Checo only races for himself and would try to undermine Max. Nothing could be farther from the truth.
@@aja3918she is his second half, seems you don't know their real relationship. In such situations she works as an adviser. Maybe Lewis would have said the same, even without talking to her and calm down. But 100% she reminded him to stay professional.

@@t-bagbagwell1327 But Glock didn't really change the race like that, he only happened to be on the wrong tire. That would be like so-called blaming all the driver's who chose the wrong tire in Russia which let Max get 2nd... IJS
I like Ricciardo's answer : We lost positions because of that SC in the end but I ain't gonna complain too much because some other lost a world title on that.
When a sport becomes about a dramatic TV show, it is no longer legit. I think we all saw today that the drama was more important than the regulations of the sport.
@@pjr7661 yeah bit of mis-interpretation by either teams or stewards. In the end, it was a controversy. But you cant deny the fact that F1 is living its golden days in terms of viewers and revenue and that is probably because of DTS. Americans didnt even talked about F1 before DTS as much as they do now. You can't deny the fact that F1 is a sport that runs for money, and lots of it. Last 2 years was a great success for F1 in terms of that and I believe that nothing will change. Drivers and teams have to get used to that. 2021 F1 season was really inconsistent in terms of stewards and race control, and all we can do is to hope that it doesn't happen again
@@melihcelik9797 F1 is definitely in its golden days in terms of viewership due to the Hamilton Verstappen rivalry. I think Lewis should retire after this. I can only imagine how any professional athlete would feel after a result like this, when the competition is decided by what can only be described as a farce by a rule made up on the fly. Lewis retiring would put a big dent in F1s pocket which is the only way to show them the true cost of manipulation. He has nothing left to prove at this stage.
My man Carlos finishing P5 in the drivers championship ahead of both Lando and Leclerc is even more impressive than Verstappen winning the championship
Yuki has gained his confidence and pace from the mid season as he started to get coached by Alex. I'm really happy we can see them both on the grid next year!!!

Hats off to Lewis Hamilton, what a gentleman!! The way you lose is more important than the way you win and despite that he deserved to win he gracefully congratulated his rival. True champion, true legend of the sport.
@Niccoló Pasquale but it's true thou, look at saudi he walked off, and I do believe why lewis outclassed max is how they handle the lost. Althought it looks absolutely robbed from lewis, lewis took it like a man which max will never be able to do if max has lost
Incredible? Yes the whole season. But today’s final one there is only one lap and sorry it’s not from max, but FIA. Really did not see any impressive slim from today’s winner except the decision of who be the winner of the ruler
@@Gothpaladinus He/she's not wrong in saying that it was a pretty controversial and somewhat anti-climatic end of an amazing and incredible season in which both contenders deserved to win the title. And yes- it's not really a critique of Max or RB, both of whom did amazing this season, but rather of FIA that needs to have more consistency in their decision-making.
Yeah, he certainly showed his best side today, not only in the race but also as someone who can take a loss. Such a shame that his team did not, and has now overshadowed Lewis's graceful loss with their filing of protests.
Its funny people said the same thing about Yuki at Bahrain then the rest of the season called him a joke and pay driver and at the last race rinse repeat.
Checo was awesome, but it still didn't matter. Lewis was way faster than Max and started pulling out huge gaps again. The decision to unlap the cars was a jokr.
I don't think that's the reason he felt bad. Nearly all of the drivers in the post-race interview displayed a sense about them that Masi's actions were, let's say, 'interesting' as far as the standards of rule implementation go.
I thought this race was over with 8 laps left. Walked away from the screen but made it back just in time to catch the last lap. Not the outcome I was expecting. Hats off the Max and major props and respect to Lewis. 33 44 55 what are the odds the last race ends with these 3 car numbers on the podium in order... hmmm...6.66 M subscribers.
Just want to say thank you to Kimi, thank you for everything you‘ve done to this sport. All the memories and moments shared with you. You‘ll be missed very much. 🙏❤️
Joy and heartbreak in this sport will always go hand in hand.. But for us as F1 fans probably it's best to take a step back and appreciate what a hecking thriller of a season it's been and be thankful for that! Obviously there is room for improvement for 2022 but I am sure F1 will work on it and try to do better. Can't wait for 2022 and the new cars! Merry Christmas everyone :)
the first race I watched in its entirety may very well be one of the greatest and most exciting in the history of the sport. I feel so fortunate to have witnessed these incredible moments.
If RBR really did underfuel Perez, that's an amazing use of strategy in a race where Hamilton was gapping the field. Big brain and game theory w the safety car won the race over the rocket ship of a Mercedes car. This is how Merc can win the Constructor but lose the WDC. This race is an excellent case study in strategy and team tactics.
@@champion1642 teams can put 10 liters in. If they crash and destroy the car on lap 4, there's nothing to penalize. It's the same for retirements. It's only cheating if you finish the race underfueled, like Vettel did when he was robbed of a podium, which makes no sense when there's already a fuel maximum limit.
Thats just a consipracy, his engine was on the limit and they didnt want to risk a safety car that denies Verstappen a chance to go at Hamilton. Ultimate team play considering Perez already couldn't get P3.
Checo is such a class act, love that this guy is driving for Red Bull. Hamilton was gracious in defeat, and much respect to him, personally. We love you, Kimi. Enjoy retirement!!
@@blackhakeem23 Man, you can't even compliment a great driver without his fans going on the ofenssive know. How about when he celebrated that way after Max had to go to the hospital? (Silverstone) (He deleted his comment 😂)
I am always saying that sainz is one of the best drivers out there. Calm and smart, always grabbing some points. Much smarter driver than leclerc, maybe not faster in raw speed but in overall package I see him above leclerc.
Man I feel gutted the way just stole the win from Hamilton. I agree that Max was the better driver for the season, but today Lewis was much better. It was absolutely sad to see his 10-12 seconds lead just snatched.
True true. But at the same time, that is Racing. And the amount of biased/unlucky moments Max has had to deal with in this season is also really sad. REALLY SAD. In the one season he actually had a chance. Again, I understand what you are saying, sometimes I am also really disappointed that it's a team sport with 2 drivers per team. But Max really deserved this win. As in the sense of how much bad luck he has had over the season.
@@MICHAEL-yd3yj Here is something you have to learn.. Even if the other guy died rules are there for a reason.. he has to take care of his car so VER doesnt damage it and he also has to take care of his rival car?
@@absolutium "so VER doesn't damage it" when Lewis makes a kamikaze move into a flat-out top-gear corner where passing is rare, then misses the apex and crashes into him?
Was that the most we've heard Kimi speak in a post race interview this season 😅. He is most definitely going to be missed come next season. An absolute legend in F1!!!
The mark of a true great driver is how they cope with defeat, especially on the last lap and through no fault of his own. Lewis has never thrown any shade at max, has he been humbled? Potentially, yes, but I think he knew he wasn't going to win forever but I expected him to be angry because of how he lost, but he wasn't. True professional
This year's Alonso is proof that he was never complaining about not driving a competitive car. When he sat in that beach chair at the side of the road it was about a team not giving everything.
I got to give it up to Hamilton for a heck of a race and for remaining so humble…. We saw two true champions of the sport both raced their hearts out and both deserve a congratulations
Let's appreciate for a moment, how HAPPY is Kimi looking :) He even took off his sunglasses!!! This guy knows what he's doing and he will definitely have a drink sooner than later ;)
I'm more happy for some of these other drivers than I am for Max. Yuki showed great pace, and showed his potential. Ferrari finished 3rd, with Sainz in 5th. Gio is happy and not leaving F1 negatively. Such a great race and time, can't wait for the next season and new cars.
