I think I am being ripped off. I am getting a snorkel fitted to my BT50 next week and have been quoted 3 hours to fit it. This bloke did it in 7 minutes!
I'd be interested to know how long it actually too. I got quoted 3 hours =$450 from a business, dont know anyone that earns $150hr. Doing it myself = $0
Nice video but I have a few questions. Does this replace the existing air intake system or is it an add on to increase air flow? Does it help the vehicle In every terrain and climate? If so which ones is it bad in?

the only issue i saw there was not blowing away the filings from the area before running a rag over it. Surely if there were any particles left it may scratch the paint ?
Hi. Awesome job! I want to put a Safari Snorkel onto my 2015 Mitsubishi Pajero NX. The right snorkel for my car should be the SS41HF model. My local dealer told me that it won't be possible to fit the snorkel to my car due to the new designed washer tank unit. My car has a headlight washer system and because of that two pumps installed to the tank. Before 2015 a new tank that replaced the stock one made the snorkel fitment possible. 1) that replace tank is extremely small and holds only a little water. 2) that replace tank does not work with the headlight washer system. As I understood only a little part of the original tank is in the way and is responsible for that the Safari snorkel doesn't fit. But that little part of the original tank is the part to which the upper pump for the headlight washer system is connected. Do you have any experience with fitting a Safari Snorkel to newer Pajero models? Is there a way to for example cut the original tank a little bit and cut out that little part, that's in the way, put the headlight washer pump to another position and plastic weld everything again? I really would like to keep most part of the original tank, because it's quite big and I'd like to keep the headlight washer system available. Thanks ahead for your answer! Cheers!
Hi Christian, Unfortunately is it not a straight forward solution. The Safari website states that, for the install of the Safari Snorkel Part Number SS41HF in the VR-X, Exceed & Platinum, you will require additional washer bottle. We believe that people have used the supplied water bottle for the windscreen washer and purchase a second aftermarket washer bottle for the headlights. For the best advise, specific to your vehicle, we would advise that you contact a Drivetech 4x4 Authorised Stockist. I still don't get with which part is snorkel fitted? Is it fitted with air filter compartment? I wanted to know if I could fit 2011-2014 ford ranger like snorkel (kind of straight) in 2009-2015 ford everest? I know there are different "L" shape snorkel for everest and also everest uses left side snorkel while ranger has right side
+The4x4offroader Safari Snorkels are vehicle specific and as the Ford Everest has only just been released in Australia a Safari Snorkel has not been released for that model yet.

oh that's awesome! just wondering if you install Snorkels for Subaru Forester? I have taken it to many places off road as I live in Sydney but unable to do some water crossings as it is too deep and would be interested in installing a snorkel I have the '13 model

Safari are the goods!!! DON'T EVER BUY A SHERPA 4x4 SNORKEL (OR WINCH). They sell you actual $29 Alibaba Snorkels for $350 - $400 ( I can validate this) . If I can save just 1 person from these shams, Ive done my job. Scintex are the biggest scam company in Aus.
