What a magnificent example of a grand tourer! McLaren seem to have got it spot on with the 570S and 570GT even though it's an entry level car (which is a bit of an understatement haha). That day must have been bliss though. Lunch in the back, brilliant weather, excellent roads and to top it all off, a 570GT. Perfect. I really like the teal colour option as well and how it looks in natural light. Also, I'm glad you're feeling much better James! It mustn't be fun being bed ridden. Loved the video!

My god, that is gorgeous.. the interior is perfect, that incredible designed back storage space is fantastic, it sounds great, drives great.. OMG. I'm in love, and I never really fell for McLaren before.

As far as content quality goes I don't think any other car youtuber can top you. Really impressed by how talented you are with editing and filming, well done!

@mrjww The gopro issue is likely due to overheating. My Hero 4 Black GoPros consistently shut off due to overheating when put in the windshield on a hot/sunny day. Best thing to do is pull the battery out and stick the gopro in front of the air vent on full cold. Takes a couple minutes then it's usually good to go again. It also helps to toss in a fresh (not hot) battery and let the other cool down.

The way you shifting through the gears every time is how I like to do that too as 6:00 and also the more relaxed shortshifting rhythm in your driving using the torque. Looking forward to your next review!

That place is spectacular . I was in the island of La Palma and went through "Parque Nacional La Caldera" and it reallly looked like being in Mars. McLaren has just absolutely nailed it with their new 570 Sport Series. I mean, either which way one slices it, they are the perfect super sports cars. I guess the only questions that remain are, which one to order and in which colour?

James, you mentioned you thought there was a bit of turbo lag. Let's not forget the mountain you were going up is 3, 718, mtr. or 12,198, feet high, at those altitudes there would be a significant drop in air pressure, even at 3,000 feet you would notice this. Excellent vid by the way.............

What an incredible experience, McLaren have certainly pulled out all the stops for this press launch, epic location and fantastic cars and evidently you had a great time, so thanks for sharing the experience. Interesting to hear your views on the 570GT, especially off of the back of your 570S drive a few weeks back. So if the GT isn't for you, is McLaren still a marque you'd want to pursue or do you think that the current range may not fit your needs as you already have cars covering what's important to you? - So not much to think about there bud!😳😳😂😂

If you're still on Tenerife, drive to the westside of the Island to Masca. The road is amazing with hairpin after hairpin all the way. You wont regret it :-D
