Hi Matt, I'm an old petrol head, but I really love your enthusiasm for your cars. I'm fae Glasgow, and having watched a few of your videos I'd say your a bit of a fanny. A lovable, likeable fanny, but still a fanny, and that's probably as close to a compliment you'll get fae me! I've done the Stelvio pass a few times and the NW500 reminds me of that plus it's is only three hours away from where I live. After watching your video it makes me more determined that I'll be looking to cross that of my bucket list very soon. Cheers, and all the best mate.

This has made me feel so homesick. I am from Edinburgh and I have been stuck in Vietnam with my wife and baby since February due to Covid-19. My wife and I got married in January 2020 in Scotland and we did the North Coast 500 as our honeymoon. It was the most incredible experience with great roads, hotels, food and people. Thank you for the video. It has made me cry and bring me closer to home than I have felt in months. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

My partner and I hired a camper van and took on the north coast 500. It was amazing and the views were unreal. We also went the Bealach na Ba route. Doing it in a camper van was very nerve racking, with on coming traffic to navigate and the very real danger of slipping off the road as edges of the road blend in with the mountain. I get anxiety just thinking about it. It really is a crazy pass and not for the faint of heart. Defo for the car enthusiast. I would love to try it in a car! Great video Mat and the car looks amazing.

Drove that road back in 1974 but went up the west coast then across the top and down to Inverness in a Bedford Dormabile 7 of us camping gear and all. Still a life highlight today almost 50 years later have a wonderful 2021 and by the way Kevin is the perfect name for Kevin

Me a a few mates did the nc500 last august, would recomend it to anyone. Great views, amazing roads, a road trip to remember. Also doing it again in august 🤙🏻
Taking a low car on the NC500 is always fun. Took my 350z up there last year and google maps sent us over a mountain to get back to the main road. Barely made it back with everything underneath still attached! Good times

Me and my wife did the nc500 from Gloucester in 2019 for our honey moon in a 1.8t MK4 golf, it's absolutely stunning up there and definitely stole a piece of my soul

Great video. I did NC500 at end of last lockdown in my T5 with my spaniel Alfie. It was a amazing trip and such a beautiful place to visit. I know exactly why you enjoyed it and R8 looked good. 👍
Did the Belachnebargh in sept on a Honda fireblade, high winds and heavy rain... sketchy in places but greatest trip ever with great friends... deffo back there next year. .. great video mate 👍

Mat should be on Top Gear instead of dire McGuiness. He's right about the moment. The 90s was peak driving for me but you never appreciate it at the time. Now I'd give anything to live it again.

I'm a remote engineer but my company is based in Shepshed, and I'm from/live in scotland. I get to travel all over the UK with work and I may be biased, but scottish scenery is by far the nicest. Weather isn't always the greatest tho 😂😂

me and 4 friends done the nc 500 camping in october in a 05 clio and it was still the best experience of my life. everyone needs to experience this in their life at some point

We did the NC500 a couple of years ago now just truly amazing and Applecross is not for the faint hearted, most frightening road I have ever been on....merry Christmas and happy new year to you
Brilliant matt the video doesn't do the nc500 justice we did it in my skoda octavia vrs estate in August and loved it went up stayed over camped & down @ 645 am the mad Applecross Rd absolutely amazing 🙌🙌
