Driving a BMW i8 - My First Time Driving a Supercar 

It's a nice-looking car, sort of like a modern hybrid version of the cool "8" series. But I could tell it was a slow car just by listening to the sound of the engine...coming from the stereo speakers lol.

I'm going to say that I like the little edits you do showing your foot mashing the gas pedal or you shifting the car over into sport mode. Slightly cheesy but, as an American, I'm a big fan of cheese. I'd probably boost the microphone volume in some of the instances. It sounded like you were being overpowered by the background music in certain instances. Overall, far better than I could do. Here's a weird question: did this car have any distinct "exotic" smell that distinguished it from other new BMW's? I've never gotten to sit inside one of these, myself.

Yo T, Go over the security system for the vehicle! No reviewer does this at all...at least for this model. It costs too much to be easily stolen. And I'm sure that there's more than just a panic alarm!? Also...does it come with run flat tires since there's no spare? BMW service can't help you in the middle of nowhere....on a Sunday. How useful is the SOS that's included with the vehicle? Can they disable if it is stolen...like OnStar? Thx babe.

It IS a supercar. How often do you see this car on the street? It is an exotic.

only reason to get one is for the fuel economy. I'd stick with my e90 n54 though.

Sorry Tara, I'm more in love with the car then you! I got to drive one last week and I have to say I loved it. They didn't over do the cockpit! Performs great! The stitching on the dash and and ambient light is beautiful.

The first time I saw an i8 in person was when a douche parked outside a gas station convenience store and barged in carrying a huge stack of $100 bills. He grabs a bag of M&Ms and tries to pay for it, but the cashier has no change. So, he turns to me and asks if I have change for a $100 bill. As if I would ever tell a stranger that I'm carrying hundreds of dollars. The whole incident was just weird.

It's looks kinda cool, the best thing about the car is its doors but is take an m4 over it any day of the week.

Yeah, I'd love to have an i8, but it is definitely not a "supercar." Even the upcoming Tesla Roadster 2, which will likely be the quickest (fastest 0-60) and fastest (highest top speed) production car ever, will not be a "supercar." Supercars are not mass-production vehicles, regardless of their specs or their looks.

An i8 is NOT a supercar

Supercar? At 357hp and 3,455 pounds and skinny tires, this hybrid is slower than a 1997 Corvette. A BMW M3 would out perform this car easily. How do you figure this is a supercar when ordinary sports cars can run circles around it? Just because some other uninformed people called it a supercar?
