❤ Bali, being a popular tourist destination, often experiences heavy traffic congestion, especially during peak seasons. Navigating through the bustling streets of Bali can be quite challenging, even for experienced drivers, let alone tourists. Therefore, it is highly recommended to hire a driver in Bali, especially if you are not familiar with the area or driving on the left side of the road. Hiring a driver not only helps you avoid the stress of driving in traffic but also allows you to relax and enjoy the scenic beauty of the island.
Hi Ryan I dont have an international liscence ? Is it safe to hire self drive car and not get fined by the police ? Thanks your response is highly appreciated.
Hi Ryan, I’m not that tech savvy lol, did you use Google Maps to get around? Do you use phone data doing that so really costly? Or is there some other way to navigate? Cheers
Hey! I used Google maps, I use Google maps everywhere in the world it always seems to work the best! I used my phone data but data is incredibly cheap in Bali if you buy a local SIM card!
Hi bro , I am taking my family to Bali in December from 15 December to 1 Jan . How is the weather really like , does it rain a lot in the day or more towards late afternoon and night time , there are a lot of mixed reviews on the topic so not really sure what to expect.
It genuinely can’t be predicted, sometimes it just rains for a couple of hours in the afternoon, other times it’ll rain for a week straight and the weather forecast is terrible at predicting what’s going to happen 😅
@@RyanLeeBanks tanx bru , much appreciated. Enjoy Vietnam . I lived there for 2 years in the covid time and have traveled for business there since 2017 an amazing place.
I got it from the post office. Yes Indo is not listed and the post office will try to tell you you don't need one, however this was not my first time here and I argued with the post office that my last trip to Bali resulted in me getting fined because I didn't have one. For some reason, because it's not listed they're reluctant to let you buy one (which I don't understand why, if someone wants to buy one just let them) but tell them it doesn't matter what their silly little list says, your friend Ryan has lived in Bali for over a year and the Indonesian police don't care about your list, only the money they can scam from you if you can't produce an IDP 🤣 Glad you enjoyed the video!
@@RyanLeeBanks Thanks for your advice :-) I'm going to Bali next year. Last time I was there was 2009 and I don't recall any issue getting an IDP. I hated driving there, but the missus wants us to hire a car again with muggins here doing all the driving.
@@RyanLeeBanksI think nowadays you should to validate the IDP in Indonesia. "You cannot drive in Indonesia using a UK driving licence. You can drive using an International Driving Permit issued in Indonesia. International Driving Permits issued in the UK may need to be endorsed by the Indonesian licensing office in Jakarta." source: gov.uk
It can’t be pretty busy these days if you don’t book in advance, so if you can I would, but I’m sure there’ll be some rental companies with availability if not!
