Thumbs up because you are the only video on youtube that demonstrated how 40% tint looks like in the rain and dark. Most people just show around their car in the daylight or parked at night. Good job !
Great video. I had 35%. On the windshield it looked awesome but it was to dark and hard to see everything at night plus cops can notice easily! So I removed and went 50% on the windshield and 20% on all the others windows it look great no issues with police and you still have enough privacy plus heat and glare protection as well as seeing perfectly out day or night if anyone is unsure this is the way to go! Hope this helps
Great video. I just had my '22 Expedition tinted 5% all around, 40% in the windshield today. I don't drive at night very often, but I was glad to see this video show what that will look like.
If you want privacy I would say nothing above 50% I have 70% and it does nothing. Lol. It also depends on what the rest of your windows are tinted. I have 5% front 3.2 the back. And 70% still doesn't do much.
I have 2.5 on the sides and rear with 35% on my front windshield. Not lying I’ve been driving like this for over a year with no issues whatsoever. No tickets no pull overs but I do have to roll down a side window when turning occasionally. It’s totally worth it though imo People are going to call you an idiot and say that you can’t possibly see through your tint but…. you can, you absolutely can
Thanks for the video i'm gonna go 40%, i have had 5% on the sides of all my cars for years but never a tinted windshield, I have 5% tinted down almost half the windshield now and i'm gonna do 40% down the other half. I wanted 50% at first but heard it was a "Waste of money" and i also considered 35% but think its too dark in certain situations
STREETRACEN4U glad the video helped! And yeah with 5% all the way around I’d say 40% would be the best cause 35% is pretty dark and would probably hard to see at night
Instead of 50 im going with 40 now. Wanted 35 so in broad day light its hard to see. I got 15 all around so ik itll look dark. Really good video. Make one of how it looks in broad daylight
Hey man, I have the same set up. I have %20 all around on bare glass and %40 percent on the windshield. I can see fine. I really hope I don't run into any trouble with the law. I have a 2009 Lexus ES350
I got a 50% Front windshield tint I should have got 40%. 50% Tint is cool but it’s basically not having any tint. If you want a little tint to it go with 40%.
when i first got my car i got 5% all around & 35% windshield & the only time it was an issue was in bad weather (heavy snow/rain) at night ESPECIALLY if it was rainin at night cuz the wet surface on the roads reflects ur headlights off the road so it almost feels like the headlights aint even on lol so i ended up goin lighter to 50% windshield & just drove last night in heavy rain & still a bit hard to see as i said before the wet surface on the roads reflects ur headlights off the road & on top of that u also lettin in 35/50% of light in through the windshield so it does get hard to see
Any difference in 45% windshield tint compared to 40%. Im planning on getting 45% tint windshield an currently have 5% all sides. Will it give it a same look compared to 40%
@@xoteb9869 does it help any in the daytime to make it look less tinted if car had moonroof? I want to tint windshield but also makr it look not tinted if need be
I have 5% all around... I wanna do my windshield but don’t know if I should get 55% or 45%!! Just nervous about driving in rain and stuff because looking out with the 5 be hard with bad weather 😭
@@dcmasta123 I have not yet. Just haven’t had the time really. Still plan on doing it when I get the chance. I believe that I’ll do either the 45 or 50 with the 5 strip
@@Life_42 man haven’t gotten around to it. Tint prices have gone up a little. I’m still happy with my other windows. If I had to change my other windows I would do 5% front two windows and 2.5% on back 3 windows.
@@chyeaboiicould u be seen thru? I use to have murdered out tints even on the front on my last car but i don't wanna be as dark as my new car is already attention grabbing. Is 40 still dark enough to not see
I’m thinking of doing my windshield I’m not sure what to get I have 20s on my driver and passenger side but I want something a little more lighter but not too dark for when I’m driving ,would 30 or 40 be good ?
Thinking of getting my windshield tinted tmr and can’t decide between 50% or 35%. I currently have 5% rears 20% fronts( I live in California so I’m not too worried about a ticket) but I do drive at night in the city and occasionally on the backroads and even with LEDs it’s sometimes hard to see. Which one do you think I should get or what pros would 35 have over 50 vice versa? I’ve read some reviews saying 50 is basically wasting your money but as long as it blocks the sun glare and adds good privacy I’d be pretty happy. I have a black interior btw.
50% is definitely not a waste. If you think about it only 50% of light is going through your windshield if you go 50. I currently have 35% on my car right now and it is less visible specially in the back roads at night. Just depends how dark you want your windshield and what the purpose for it is. I think you should do 50% if you have trouble seeing sometimes. I love 35% but I mainly drive in the city. And occasionally in the back roads like you. They’re both good tint levels. If you wanna check out my newer video I did on my new car it’s 35%
@@sosa8222 im in cali too, about to get tints next week and deciding between 50% and 35%. Are you happy with your choice and have you been pulled over?
Great video , weird I actually have my mustang in the tint shop rn and I’m getting 20 on sides and back and 40 on the windshield , so this video couldn’t be more accurate and helpful to me , thanks
tempted to go down to 35% got 50% rn i just want a little black out on the windshield nothin crazy cause i know for a fact everytime i pass a cop itll be a pull over 😭
@@tekka9813 makes a small difference , you’ll get used to it and will probably want to go lower lmfaoo , 50% is nice tho , haven’t gotten pulled over or anything cause of it
Youre not going to believe when I say this but i had 3% all around my car with a 12% windshield. Sadly i had to remove it after a year because it was hard to see during the time change. Im going to tint it to 20% or 25%.
I just got 50% 3M obsidian. When I picked up my car I'm like " Did you tint it?" Looks the same outside, but you tell it was tinted once you got inside, but still too light.Going with 40%.Staying away from 35%
@@missayawk I had the same reaction when I picked up my 50%windshield. I thought they only did a brow. That was on my cobalt. On my sti I have 5%back , 20% front , 35% with 1% brow. You can still see through the windshield 75% of the time. On the inside there is a very very small difference from 50%. I didn't believe people.who said 35% wasn't bad at night but now I know it's really no different then then 50%. Just go for the 35% that will be your best bet especially if 50% didn't effect you at night.
@@PlumberWRX I literally wanted to cry....lol.I had it done on Wednesday, 2 days ago.Havent driven the car since.I was so stoked before thinking YEAH gonna have that windshield blacked out/ darken. But I can tell the difference from inside the vehicle.Gonna take my chance on the 35.
@@missayawk yeah 35% is definitely the best bet. I'm gonna get the rest of the vehicle tinted to 1% and with the 35% windshield it will always be dark.
@@PlumberWRX I just wanna get it done one last time.In a way I'm glad I started at 50.Was thinking 40, but I'll listen to someone more knowledgeable than me.35 it is.Might just keep the 50 for the winter.Once spring hits...35.
I wanted to tint the front windshield 50%. I have 5% all around my car but these idiots out on the road driving with no headlights at night prevented me from doing so 😂😂
