I very much enjoyed this ride. I have to say though, I was pushing the floor like a brake at a couple of those stop signs .... lol .... maybe it was the camera perspective, but it seemed like we was going to slide right through the intersection ..... good times, thanks~!
@@BaltimoreAndOhioRR First storm we get I am out immediately to brush up my winter driving skills. Hah. If i get anymore train vids I will send them your way.I live right by several tracks(Halifax container terminal) but never get around to it. I sent you that South Africa vid and said I would send more around ten years ago, but I'm a slacker. Heh. Have a great week my friend!
1:03:16 that had to be one of the worst moves I have seen in quite some time espicially on a snowy road that you were on, it was like the driver didnt even look to see if the lane was clear, somehow thinking he/she was going to do one of those LAST SECOND moves over to the exit.....
instead of putting tons of salt down why doesnt someone invent a truck that has an extended cooling system that reaches down to road level and MELTS the snow and ice!
WIPERS! New blades dude ...totally unsafe, your supervisor should be demoted. I'm an x platoon Sgt, I would deadline your truck in a second. You would be counseled for lame ass pre checks
Um ... I grew up there. Also drove multimillion dollar radars off c17s in Juneau Alaska ... kinda snowy there ... if you can't see out of your windshield you don't think that's an issue? Just noticed you hearted your own comment ROFLMAO!
My point was, its not a blade issue. Its the way the truck is designed. Ice builds up at the bottom of the windshield, and also on the blade apparatus, which keeps the blade from conforming to the glass over the sweep. Then salt spray gets on the windshield and the blade isnt firm enough against the windshield to clear the salt. The blades have been replaced several times. Each winter, sometimes more frequently. I go through this every winter, every storm. Like I said, if you want to act like youre an acting Sergeant in our military, go back there.
Personally I feel he was driving WAY to fast for the conditions and hogging the road most of the time. No consideration for oncoming traffic. and even if HE and his truck are well prepared for the task. imagine the panic response you'll fire up in the person you freak at that blind curve. I've seen people full accelerate into trees because of a simply horn blast. And right out the gate he almost creamed out that white compact. Its true that being lucky is better than being good!
