This trip begins in Trexlertown, a few blocks north of what was the intersection of PA 100 and US 222 before the bypass roads were built. The trip soon merges onto PA 100 southbound headed toward Macungie. The area seen in this video has seen much new building in recent years, both suburban housing and warehousing. Only a few miles west, one would be in the PA Dutch countryside of woods and farms, which is what this area looked like only a few years ago. At approximately 9:45 the trip crosses the busy Norfolk Southern railroad. The branch which is crossed here is part of that busy Norfolk Southern line which runs from the port of Elizabeth and Newark, NJ to Chicago. Many imports and exports going both to and from the US to overseas are carried on this busy rail line. The trip ends looping around outside of Macungie on Brookside Road, Sauerkraut Lane and Willow Lane going past some of the suburban housing which has been built in recent years. This trip was in Lehigh County.
