The ZL1 is faster in a straight line. The GT3 has a lot more engine character and feels easy to drive hard. The interior of the GT3 was much better. Chevy should have put the new Z06 motor in a Camaro

You can’t compare a C8 to a GT3. And I doubt anyone in the position to afford a GT3 is forgoing a Europe trip to purchase it.

​@Ben-bg2eg yeah a C8 is more for someone that makes around $100k year. Realistically afford a GT3 should make least $250k year or FAT down payment. Why least 250k because it won't be your daily either lol. If you a got a GT3 at home doubt you wanna roll around in something cheap Making $250k yr puts you into top 5% earners

250k for a 170k car sounds like not enough income. 250k for a 85k C8 sounds better. I guess Im too cheap or wont be able to max out the track difference between a Z51 C8 and GT3

@@FATmenDRIVEtrucks Definitely, a lot of people don’t realize the amount of car you can actually afford doesn’t scale linearly with income. The GT3 as a driving experience is something truly special, people who haven’t driven one can’t truly say it’s not worth it. I would love to experience a 991/992 someday, I had the privilege of driving my buddy’s 997.1 GT3 on some good backroads and it genuinely changed the way I evaluate cars. Numbers aren’t everything. That doesn’t take away from a car like the ND Miata though, That car still punches wayyy above its weight class from a fun standpoint and is definitely easier to exploit on public roads. I just think the GT3, if you have the space to truly open it up (be it on a track or a deserted backroad) is truly leagues ahead of a C8.

@@sunnyvalentino You’re not wrong about that, I also agree that a C8 is more of a $250k income car and a GT3 is probably somewhere in the 300-350k+ income range to comfortably afford. It seems crazy to even say that, but it’s the unfortunate reality of cars like this. Once again, Miata is always the answer lol. But for the enthusiast who can actually afford the GT3 (very very small % of people) they will be rewarded with one of the most special driving experiences there is to offer.
