One of the most beautiful cities in america. My heart is a Philly native and after visiting other regional cities, I've only felt that "home" vibe in Philly but Chicago is the only other city I've felt that similar kind of vibe for. 🦅🐻
Inspite of the problems that you always hear about, we are very proud of our city!!!! Before Hollywood, there was Chicago. Without Chicago there wouldn't be entertainment in New York. Some of the world's most ironic musicians got their break from a vacant lot on 14th and Halsted
Yeah, many people don't know that Chicago was the center of the original motion picture industry before Hollywood California and it's where Charlie Chaplin got his start.
The Only way to get a *Real Glimpse* of the city- is to visit... Come in the Summer... I guarantee you (you'll) have a great time... Chgo's a very diverse city w/great food, attractions & things to do. *Check out some* *Chgo Summer vlogs. for an ideal.*
Chicago also in the poor/ bad neighborhoods is quite clean amd wealthy, compared to other American city. This is where the hate comes from. They expect our ghettos to look like Skidrow or Philadelphia or other American cities. Chicago in general is a clean and wealthy city

Tbh it's more who you're with and less where you are. I don't hang around with the delinquent crowd and I visit "dangerous/" parts of the city all the time. Also just keep your wits about yourself. There are FAR more dangerous cities in the world than Chicago... us locals just like to complain without actually doing anything about it. Luckily there are tons of people working very hard to fix the crime issues, particularly by attacking the root causes of these issues which has everything to do with minorities, oppression, and cyclical poverty. Chicago is an Alpha+ rated global city but due to the usual circumstances that come with being an American city, we have unique social issues that we face. This is generally how the media portrays an ongoing humanitarian crisis here, between institutionally oppressed African Americans and Latinos, to huge influxes of migrant waves from red states due to our sanctuary city status. Basically what I am trying to tell you as a life long local is that there are many preconceptions about Chicago and a huge portion of it is overblown and aggressively framed as some sort of second Detroit. It's not. We just gotta fight back against disunity and ever growing equity and wealth chasms.
Apa yang saya boleh kata bandar diamerika sngat cantik seperti eropah versi kedua dan lebih banyak bangunan tinggi disana membuktikan kemegahan dan betapa besarnya pasaran dan ekonomi mereka

In downtown Chicago a few of the biggest streets have streets under them for through traffic and deliveries/trucks etc. Some are three levels deep so some of the traffic is down there. Chicago used to have some of the best infrastructure in the world, when they were first wiring for electricity and telephone the utilities were all run by private companies and the company trying to run the wires couldn't get permission to dig up the streets to run the wires so they just dug tunnels through out the entire core of the city at around 40 foot depth and connected the tunnels to the basements of every building/block as well as to all the railyards/translations/ports etc. Since they couldn't dig down or up they ran narrow Guage train tracks through the tunnels to take the dirt out. By the end of it they had an underground electrical freight railway and all deliveries, mail, freight, garbage, utility work, furniture moving, parcel and food delivery in downtown Chicago was done underground. It was also a constant 50 degrees feirenheit down there year round so it was used as a city wide air-conditioning system for the buildings connected cool them in the summer and warm them in the winter. The system operated for decades and was only shit down because the post office stopped delivering mail through it and due to financial mismanagement the company went bankrupt, all the underground car tunnels and street car (tram/trolley) system and subway system Chicago really was a city ahead of its time. Shame what's happened to it and most other American cities due to mismanagement in the post war years.
Bs. Millions of us live here. We're fine and love it here. Fyi every major Midwestern city has a higher murder rate and crime rate than Chicago. St.louis, Detroit, Memphis, Milwaukee, Cleveland etc yup those all are more dangerous
