I spent 10 days in Ajijic, Jalisco on Lake Chapala and Saturdays were what I called Chicken and corn tortilla day...the whole town smelled like roast chicken. A lady in front on the street pulled her cooker out and made about 50 of them and they were all gone as soon as they are ready...best roast chicken ever and the corn tortillas are just divine. I found the same kind at a store, El Burrito in St. Paul, Minnesota...if you are ever in that area check it out, It is a market and diner too with street corn. I am on the hunt always for corn tortillas, soft and pillowy.
That sounds AMAZING! Yeah the corn tortillas in Mexico are on another level of deliciousness! We will definitely check out El Burrito next time we're close. Thanks for sharing and watching! - Dennis ✌️
That definitely is when we drive in Mexico. The funny thing is that I was raised in Mexico but freak out driving and my husband is a gringo and is so relaxed driving over there
Wow, beautiful scenery! Great job! You must have planned this trip for months. There’s no rattling in your RV. Our class c rattles like crazy...gotta work on that this spring. It’s ew to us.
If you listen hard enough you can here stuff shaking around! It's not awful but it's still noisy. We definitely spent a lot of time planning our route before we left Florida. I'm glad we did too, because it's difficult to wing it in Mexico! Good luck taming the rattles this spring! - Dennis ✌️
Every time I go to Mexico I poop like a baby: the food is just so good, more natural, and is so easy to eat good stuff. The grapes taste like grapes, not like candy, and the tortillas are amazing as well as the meat. Mexico so far has no monopolies over meat production, that's why it is still more natural.
What did you use for navigation. Cellphone Google or something like a Garmin GPS. I'll be traveling alone so I'm curious. I'm planning to travel thru Baja California this winter.
Remember get out and make sure they zero the pumps and watch...I was wondering what your gas bill will be on this whole trip..it will be interesting...but we'll worth it..
Yes we know to check thank you for the tip though. Yes it will be interesting to see ! I'm sure it will be a lot especially with all the ground we cover. - Liz
We miss Publix too! But we're even more bummed that Kroger decided to shutdown Lucky's Market our favorite grocery store ever! The food here in Mexico to so good! - Dennis ✌️
what would you advise for a truck pulling a 25' trailer? Is mexico an option with this setup? Or should I leave my RV in the states and come in with the truck (maybe pu one of those top tents on it, and bring my adventure bike along)?
@@EatSeeRV fair enough. I guess the question is what are going to be my challenges? I am not a big fan of stress- I get worked up and angry, but I also make myself deal with it. Mostly I want to know what to expect (other than the unexpected)
Thanks for the video. I just got home from 6 weeks in mexico in an RV myself driving from The border crossing at Nogales to San Carlos, down to Mazitlan then down to Puerto Vallarta. I didn't hear the names of any towns or locations in your video, was that intentional ?
Awesome! No we're on the other side of Mexico than Puerto Vallarta and Mazitlan. We'll head that direction later in our trip. How'd you like it Calvin? - Liz
Driving in Italy & Paris is crazier, however they too are very nice, when they honk it's to tell you to go ahead. Think it's the Americans who are just cranky drivers
They have purified water fill ups as we show in the video their water has been fine. Now the non-potable water is not drinkable. We do like Berkey's but it's not required to come here. We've been fine over a month here. - Liz
Love driving in Mexico. Had a eurovan which was perfect. Did the whole country years ago. Dry camped anywhere , preferred mango groves ! Drivers use common sense and are courteous. Toll roads are really good but we preferred free , more interesting.🇨🇦
Unfortunately a surge protector won't keep hot skin shocks from occuring when there is no earth ground at the shore power source. Down here in Mexico we've noticed that nothing is wired with a ground at the plug/pedestal. The Newstate Nomads actually do carry a Hughes Autoformer surge protector and still had a hot skin shock happen. We're doing our best to stay safe. Thanks for the well wishes! - Dennis ⚡
Yes it will. My progressive dynamics sp will not allow electricity in to the coach when there is no ground. I have used it for years on several coach’s and have had many rv pedestals exposed for faulty grounds. You guys are a shit show waiting to happen. Obviously you didn’t do much pre planning and are an accident waiting....
I didn’t say “don’t use” across the board, only when sketchy and if you value anything with a circuit board in it....get a quality surge protector that will alert you to abnormalities and protect you computers, frig, wh, etc.
🚙Sometimes hard in the heat of the moment, we didn't have a camera we can easily flip around. It was a process then. So one way or the other, it just happened to be on us haha - Liz
