Always surprises me how the border between Italy and France goes almost unnoticed in the landscape. But then again the coastal areas from Nice over Monaco are one geographical region with the Ligurian coast relief. And go back less then 200 years and the French-part of the region was still Italian, not part of France ..... By the way the railway station and tunnels in Monaco are insame deep-level almost as spectacular as the roads through Monaco.
