The English have their "white cliffs of Dover", the Lebanese have their "white cliffs of Naqoura”! Past these limestone cliffs between Tyre and Naqoura, I myself have driven the Norwegian "Dog Platoon`s" own Land Rover (1980). I have also served as a "shooter" several times, in truck-convoys, from Naqoura. I think, for a brief moment, I also recognised the wall around what was the"Tyre Barracks”. I guess all the historic tanks are gone now. In "Tyre Barracks" there were Shermans with radial engine and "Firefly" guns, and British Comet / Cromwell chariots, and much much more exciting machinery for an enthusiast. Very good Michel!
