In this video I will go through a driving test report sheet in detail explaining the faults and the feedback received by the driving test candidate. Guys, I had 14 lessons with instructor. Lovely guy, but, failed my test. They said I had serious coasting problem. Instructor never mentioned it in 14 lessons. Watched every Dane video for 3 months. Passed easily. Thank you Dane. Genius

Hi,Dane, I was fortunate in passing my test in Newbridge in 2008. I just started watching your videos out of curiosity, and I discovered what I DON'T know about driving. Just because you pass the test, it doesn't make you the world's best driver. Keep up the good work, it's never too late to learn good driving habits no matter how long you're driving. Maith an fear.

Hi Dane I have been driving on a full licence for over 20 years and I find the information and advice absolutely fantastic, I think full licenced drivers experienced or not should see some of your content, I say this because sometimes some drivers not all, find it easy to forget that they were once learners too. My aunt who is 85 years old once said to me when I started to drive "always remember the little things because some day you might look back and realize they were the big things. That i have carried with me in other areas of my life particularly so, when I was learning how to drive. She was right the little things add up to big things in my case my full licence. I think if you could put more cars on the roundabout and 3rd exit in the diagram and show the exact distance from those cars to ours, you could show the exact pattern that it is safe to pull the car off to the roundabout. Once again thank you for your videos!

I can't do that because all roundabouts are different sizes and shapes, there is no one size fits all answer to this.

@Dane Tyghe Can you do a video on some other areas not necessarily related to passing a driving test? The test still leaves you in the dark about many things, if the channel covered some more things on what to do after the test, it would diversify the content a bit and potentially save people some accidents on the road. A video on how to drive in icy conditions like black ice might be handy. Maybe a video on parallel parking also.

I passed 1st time yesterday in Charlestown. I couldnt get a pretest so binge watched all your videos. By the way I was asked about 10 road signs! I cut out twice and i never readjusted my nirror after the reverse altgough i did notice it quickly and said i need to pull over and adjust my mirror. Delightedbto have passed and went straight to the NDLS appointment I booked in advance, and have the pink licence on the way! Thanks Dane, cant recommend you enough.

Just on the right turn at the T Junction. If I'm going to 2nd gear before the line is it ok to hold down on the clutch the whole time until you stop/take off ? I be afraid of either coasting or slipping the clutch when I'm stopping/moving off

Once you have done 2nd gear, off the clutch, then back on the clutch to stop.

When we exit the round about through the 3rd(right side) exit, should I get out through the right side of the way and further change to the left side after exiting or can I just get into the left side of the way just at the exit?

Depends on the situation, probably drift early to the left once you have checked its safe to do so

Hai I have a doubt if during driving test if someone signals you to go at junction when u are on a stop sign,can we move ahead or yield them way if that person is still moving?

You can go if it's safe but make sure you do all the proper checks. If in doubt just ignore them.

Either way is fine but it depends on the individual roundabout, 2nd gear is usually a good option but 3rd on the bigger roundabout if safe

At 17 mins you have the car beside the road marking I was told by my instructor to be on top of the road marker or above it so now I'm so confused 🤔

That all depends on the size and width of the road, surely you don't apply the same rule to every single road?

Shouldn't be a problem as long as its not too bad, the front indicators need to be unaffected by the damaged area.

Please explain - in roundabout, when there is dual carriageway in 3rd exit - will i enter on first lane or 2nd lane!!

Hi Dane !! I failed my C license also for yeld on roundabout for not yelding on right but in my case the car was coming from the right and in my opinion was quite far, not even close to the line and was a huge roundabout. Tks Claudiu .. Will that be a grade 3. Cause i argued with him about that cause i sow in the mirros i didn’t make him stop.

It entirely depends on the situation, you can't seriously expect me to comment on a situation I've no knowledge or experience of. It's the testers decision and nothing can be done about it now.

I recently had a guard pull out in front of me on a mini roundabout from the left,the roundabout was previously a T juntion.I was just at the roundabout but not on it he drove straight out even though I was travelling at 50kmh in a urban area i was not expecting him to pull out on the roundabout,anyway I flashed the lights (stupidest thing I ever done)he followed me and advised me that because he was on the roundabout first he at the right of way,he didn't have to give any to though to the traffic approaching this mini roundabout,it didn't matter even if a artic was approaching with a huge load on it.i know by the law he probably is right but I feel its bad practice not to give the traffic approaching a mini roundabout the right of way due to the small area of the mini roundabout and lack of stopping distance for the traffic.

Is 26 grade 2 faults considered very bad? I had no grade 3. Can't understand it.

26 grade 2 faults is not ideal. If you want a blunt answer then yes it's very bad but I don't know the specific details of the test and what happened. Remember nothing is forever and a bad result like this can be turned around.

Thanks sir. When I want to go 2nd exit and sign arrow show right side and right side also use for 3rd exit. So in this case should I indicate to go 2nd exit? Or no need to signal? If the 3rd exit need right signal ? Plz sir reply me.

If your second exit is to the right of 12 o'clock then indicate right on the approach and left on the exit.

When I go right lane for 2nd exit then first indicate right signal and then cancel the signal. And after exit then signal left . Am I right sir??

I don't know how anyone passes this test! Unless someone is getting grade 3's , then the grade 2's should be abolished. Its too easy to clock them up.

It's not really that complicated, people pass the test by getting professional lessons and lots of practice along with studying the rules of the road and watching my videos. I know quite a lot of people who have passed the test actually.
