How do you put the cl55 AMG into sports mode? What I seen by the video you put it on sport mode but for manual paddle shifters right? What I'm asking is how do you put on sports mode to use it as the automatic function
in case people don't know: 500hp is fun! i've had 3 street rides with over 400hp and the fun starts there, being a MB with this much power has to be deeply satisfying, thank you.
What mods have been done to the car? I have a 2004 but for some reason it doesn't pull like yours.and I agree, there's no other car out there like it. It has the looks, power, comfort, very unique.
Most likely if yours feels sluggish it needs a new intake air temp sensor, it’s like $15 at the dealer. It goes on the intake behind the throttle body firewall area. Super easy to change, made my car feel like it gained 200 horsepower. I once read that those sensors are meant to be replaced every few years. It’s what the computer uses to adjust boost based off the temp reading of that particular sensor. Also change your supercharger cooling pump to the 010 updated part number. This car is pretty much stock besides a resonator and second cat delete, bigger heat exchanger, split cooling, one step colder spark plugs, and it had a full tune up done so it’s running optimal.
@@damiankikolski just changed out the IAT and still the same. I also ordered some stock air filters. Currently have k&n but I’m hearing mix reviews so I’m going back to stock. In your video, when you’re accelerating. Are you flooring it or just enough for the supercharger to kick in? The problem I’m having with my car is that the acceleration is not smooth. I have already changed: fuel filter, fuel pump, all 8 coil packs, ignition wires, 550 injectors, meziere wp, 76 sc pulley, and a bunch of other stuff. If I take it easy, it’s smooth. It’s only when I get on it. Thanks again
Appreciate it bro! It's got a resonator/secondary cat delete, and a 2.5" X-Pipe in place of secondary cats. Original mufflers, primary cats still on. And I took the hood insulation out for better cooling and so you can hear the blower whine. Make's a drastic difference in how much you hear the blower whine when you remove the hood foam.
This has been my dream car for a long time. I’m now 36 and probably having some sort of crisis lol I’ve excepted that the maintenance and repairs will cost more than what I pay for one. I have decent mechanical skills an experience. Would you say it’s worth it?
Man, this makes me miss my C32 AMG at home even more. I'm coming back this weekend to throw on a bunch of needed parts though so I can drive it reliably. I just bought it a couple weeks ago and some stuff is wrong with it.
I installed Ceika fully adjustable 32 way dampening coilovers, if I were to do it again I’d leave the ABC on the car. There’s a reason they came with such a advanced system from the factory, I would recommend leaving the original suspension that came from Mercedes, just rebuilding the whole system with fresh hoses, filters, o rings.
@@damiankikolski Hi ! Thanks for your reply. Sorry I’ve got self correction from my IPhone… I was asking for the spring rate you choose front and rear. Do you find it too « hard » for missing the défective ABC ? Cheers mate !
@@damiankikolski there’s two in my area rn. I been wanting a 55amg I’m not worrying on models but I love these cl and the cls55 for a long time but I always come across personal issues when I’m about to buy one. But one is at 200k miles for 10k beige on beige color and the other ones is at 90k miles for 13k black on black so idk what one to get ofc the 90k mile one but I feel like maintenance hasn’t been done on it Ik these are a steal of a deal on price what one would you get if you were me 😂 also any problems that people don’t think of I went and saw a w220 s55 and it was clapped tf out oil spray in engine bay and Airmatic was slammed couldn’t even move the car. And a e55 I went and saw had a messed up exhaust problem it just didn’t feel right/ sound right at all like a crack near the cat or sun like that
I love cars with torque from the bottom. This thing pulls like my Tesla Model 3. But the sound and the interior is waaay nicer of course. Unfortunately the insurance on these cars is crazy high over here in Germany plus the insane fuel cost in Europe make me stick to torquey electric cars instead.
