Thank you so much man, You took me to those good days. I've been there and I have passed through precisely these villages. I love Zambia and Zambians are one of the kindest nations in Africa.
Great video. I loved the song you were playing when you were crossing the Chongwe Toll Plaza. I looked it up on youtube and now I am a fan of Cody Francis. I will let him know that you got me there. All the best in all your travels.
I use a lot of his music in my videos, love it👍🙂 and thanks for making an effort and googling it yourself. Most people just demand I go and find the song name for them🤣
The bridge over the Luangua river is quite a landmark.Crossed it in 95 en route to Malawi but on the steep just after crossing the bus I was in collided with a bus to Lusaka by the side mirrors and our bus reversed for about 50 mitres .It was scary.
Just for future help, every filling station has a toilet you can use. Especially the ones with eating places. The rest, you just kindly ask the fuel attendants.
Nice to see your trip hey… I notice you filled up from total Kafue road (Makeni) were I live and you went all the way to my provincial capital Chipata. Amazing…
Glad you found the take out shop in Petauke it's about the best place between Chipata and Lusaka. The rat village is always selling something interesting on the side of the road everytime I pass.
Been awhile as we have been touring a bit. So glad you are back on the road. I will need to binge watch a bit too catch up. Thanks for this informative video. Africa rocks. Keep safe.
It is with luck that I came across your fine channel, keep up the good work. Hope to see Malawi and Angola sometime (of course through the lens on your cameras).👍
You should try the Northern route aswell That is driving on the Great North road from Lusaka to Samfya or Nakonde. Really beautiful waterfalls on the way up there.
About to drive this route in 2 weeks. Our first self drive. Thanks for the important tips eg no night driving and fill up when tank is half full. Were the toilets easy enough to find in the towns? Are the petrol stations the best place to find one?
Just curious as to why you should stay off roads at night? I'm an American and have traveled to every continent except Africa. I was thinking Zambia would be a good spot to rent a car and drive. Should I reconsider?
No you dont have to reconsider, just do your driving in the day. Reason is the roads are bad in some places, lots of people and animals on them and there is no light, lines on the road or traffic signs. So as a general rule here in Africa as travellers we stay off the roads at night.
@@NickfrNamibia thanks friend. Anywhere else beside your channel you would suggest I get some tips for African nations, zambia in general. Unless of course you suggest another country for my first time.
not sure, most of the other channels dont focus on information, more on the scenery etc you can try the 4x4 community forum from SA, they have a specific section on Zambia www.4x4community.co.za/forum/forumdisplay.php/171-Zambia
