Driving the utterly awesome Volkswagen SP2 - and it's slow

Hi, the problem with this amazing car is that uses the air cooled engine for economic reasons, we had several economic crisis here in Brazil and the water cooled AP (High Perf.) engine arrived here in the late 80s. I want to see a tuned SP2 someday but its hard because is a really rare car.
