Story is a bit longer: So well yes he came up with the idea himself but as far as I know he didnt intended to do that much to the car. But he was visiting a liveshow of a famous german car guy/ tuner called Jean Pierre Kraemer, (JP Performance) when he got picked out of the crowd because he had a multipla. Then JP dared him to do a lot more and also offered him to do a video with him on his youtube channel when he was ready. Well at least thats as far as I recall it. But it didnt became quite clear how nuts it is what he has done. The car with all the modification is road legal in germany, but this arent official parts so he had to get an extra license and specially made parts. If he had invested the same money in a normal car he would have a spaceship. But its worth it since he is the star at any car meeting, not the one with the lamborghini

Only ones that didnt have it are my '06 Toyota matrix and '06 Honda pilot, which have flat backs of the seats to fold down for cargo. @@bitelaserkhalif you might need to stiffen up the shocks a lot, but hey, good one. The original shocks on the Multipla are nothing to brag about so anything else is likely going to improve. Btw, the 1.4 multijet might be a better choice (actually Fiat should've chosen that engine for the Multipla).

Can confirm the multipla nod. There are six people in my family, in the multipla we all had our own 3 point seat belts, and my mam could drive it even though it looks massive. Great car, Ugly as sin though.

I am from germany and in 3 years i never saw another one in this time. I saw them in the past but not another in 5 years i think. most of them got scaped after they served a hard life as a baby bomber :) its the same with the BMW E34 now i see one every couple of weeks five years ago they stand almost on every corner.

1985Exorcist666 There are 4 Multiplas in my city lol (about 50k people live there). They were also often used a taxis. Some cars just disappear from the streets and it's really sad. I used to see a lot of Opel Kadetts, but I haven't seen one for years now

Just got one. To be fair, it's a practical car. But Fiat once again managed to build it with shortcomings in terms of quality. The dashboard plastic "velvet-ish" surface literally molds into junk with time. Heavily used ones also develop issues with either the steering, suspension, and the clutch (it is an heavy car, even more so with the CNG/LPG versions which add additional tanks). Max weight that one is supposed to carry stands at 1870kg for the petrol version! I wonder how the 1.6 engine is supposed to even move a car that weights nearly two tons at its (supposedly maxed out) weight. To put that into perspective, the Multipla is shorter than a Grande Punto, although being a bit wider.

Me also - saw my 1st one only 6 yrs ago and loved it’s face- futuristic or something similar. When Citroen died and one identical (2003) was sat on nearby driveway and for sale at £800 , 27months ago , I found 600 which the old guy accepted. Although now 120k on the clock , she has towed half ton trailers and only complains on very cold mornings ( battery turns over once and gives up) , I want another when she’s beyond mending and another after that. It’s a car made specifically for the inhabitants enjoyment the size of the back windows and comfort/size of each seat is unmatched in any MPV made since.

Multipla is great to drive I can vouch for that , handles well too Great at been a car in every aspect but looks Plus everything makes you laugh
