After all those super easy crossings at the non-EU Balkan countries, I would have expected crossing back into EU (as a citizen) to have been a breeze. But no, I was asked aside and my car was searched by the border guards. No problem, look wherever you want in my messy home on wheels! I just kept stretching on the curb to pass the time whilst getting curious looks from the officers. :D
I only visited a random town within mountains for a pharmacy (which couldn’t sell me either of my two medicines), and otherwise just drove through the country with one break for sleeping (with awesome views). Crossing Slovenia took like 30 minutes, but I also slept there and had to drive back and forth to look for a toilet. I understand these two countries to be incredibly beautiful, and it would be fun to have them as the main destinations on some other trip. But now I only have a week to get to the UK with 1500 kilometers to go, and I want to visit CERN in Switzerland en-route. Therefore I must continue on to Italy.
