I once was driving from Olathe back to Iowa and decided to do the straight through (like the GPS always wants me to do) Kansas City. It was a Sunday and the traffic was light. At the Civic Center area, I managed to get into the wrong lane and ended up going East under the Civic Center rather than north around it. Not that it mattered, i figured "stay on the road, it's basically a rectangle, you'll end up in the same place, the river bridge".
Love this cloudy day. Its my favorite kind of weather. For working, for driving, its the best. You started video about 10 seconds too early and should have panned left for sports complex.
Driving through Kansas City really calls for a Imperial Death March or Flight of the Valkyries sound track I feel :) The shit gets real downtown on 35. GPS: be in the left lane while in the right lane then be back in the left lane then... Whatever, you're on your own.
Zoomer30 That's why I like to do a virtual, mini tour (esp when I plan on driving through Kansas City) via Google street maps. I wonder who MDT hired to design the freeways in Kansas City?
Cool video. I was in KC for a few days in 2006; they have a pretty neat system out there. What's the song artist and title, if you would happen to know? It's catchy, and yet at the same time, reminds me of shooting a laser gun at the arcade, lol.
i went there for my aunts wedding my cousins wanted to go back to Minnesota but i wanted to stay there because compared to St.paul its interstate heaven and yes im from Minnesota
@FreewayBrent Hey, thanks for watching! The song is called "Your Love" by 2020 Soundsystem. I got it in Audioswap here on YT. I thought they put the song info on the video somewhere, but I see that's not the case.
@cochrab yeah I know, I just love to drive, and sometimes I feel like watching every detail that real tome provides hehe, of course I know many people would think they are boring, but thanks tho amigo :D
@Suproctologo From my limited experience, people find the real time videos a bit boring. I have a few real time videos posted but they do not seem to attract the views or ratings of their time lapse counterparts. If enough people want to see real time videos, perhaps I could post some of these as well.
@RuneMacer55 Lol, I'm not from Kansas City I actually live in Columbus, Ohio. I just filmed it as I was passing through earlier this year. Thanks for watching!
Kansas City is pretty cool, but your airport is poo. Im from Columbus and I got laid over in Kansas City, and there was almost no food option in the airport, except one vendor and NBC news. no hot food. ;( I love the Royals Baseball park though.
@@sxnsei1176 gets boring after about 10 minutes. One can only stare off into a void of flatness and corn for so long. Thr midwest is prettier once you also factor in all the lakes. But the flatness with absolutely nothing on the horizon but itself is almost mind numbing at times
