I first rode on the Merritt Parkway in 1941, when my father brought me from Orange to New York and back. Memory Highway!

Perhaps describe the route for those not quite as familiar with it. I have reached 33:21 and, after you left street level in Manhattan, you went N on Henry Hudson Parkway / Saw Mill River Parkway (some traffic lights in Westchester County), briefly N on I-87 (NY Thruway), then E on I-287 and S on NY 22, which is not an expressway. After 2 stopovers, you got back on I-287, then went N and E on Hutchinson Parkway / Merritt Parkway (the latter in Connecticut).

4:29:15, the exit i take to get home. 4:31:03, the other exit i take to get home [my hometown of Braintree]. it's cool to see things like this through someone else's eyes.

I would definitely recommend that you take the regional or Acela to Boston South Station from New York.

Jusdt curious, when you parked around the 38:20 mark, just before you left, may I ask if you switched something on the camera, only because right at that moment, the colors actually changed, meaning from the way it looked, it went from a brighter scene to a more Yellowish color......

At 56:04 notice the dangerous situation of a car stopped at an entrance with no acceleration lane provided. There were steps taken to correct some such situations.

I saw the video and i miss sign with distance. Like Bridgeport 40 miles, New Haven 55 miles, something like that. I don't know there's not because is a pkway, or because everytown is next to each other.Or in the east coast dont put that signs.

Going purely by maps (never been in the States...I'm from Denmark, Europe) the fastest route from New York to Boston seems to be 95 to New Haven, then 91 to Hartford and then 84 -> 90 to Boston. But there may be local conditions that I can't see by just looking at a map. Interesting Video :-)

right at the start of the trip there is a nasty traffic jam with cops blocking traffic....One incident backs up hundreds of cars. Fun

Your doing way to much, should of just took 95 i can't stand parkways, expressway are far more better and spacious and better for speed for long distance.

At 22:19 Sex offenders should live here in the highway. If the speed limit is between 40 and 50MPH, level threes should live near highways!
