This is something I’ve always mentioned, if you turn your body cam off the victim should automatically be proven innocent unless alternate sufficient evidence is provided.
Same shit happens to me with cops now, I saw a cop across the street, gave him the same benefit 9f the doubt, then treats me like a vagabond for trying to get into my workplace full uniform, that shits real, you can feel it.
The fact that THREE cops spent time bothering Swoozie when they could’ve been doing something more productive is honestly the most disappointing thing in the story
This happened to my black uncle, we just came from the beach going home, when we got home a cop came out of no where, and said the same exact thing "do you know why you got pulled over?" "Why? "This is a construction zone, and you're in it." And my uncle said "this is where I live." When I looked around no where looked like it was under construction.. I just think it's unfair that as soon as some cops see a different color/race they immediately think you're bad.
He IS speaking straight facts but I'd like to say to his aid, as much as he may not have been swearing, if he had been it would've been a legitimate response. He should in no way be expected to keep a calm and composed attitude when discussing one of his various instances of oppression. I commend him on it as the entirety of these phenomena are *INCENSING*.
Literally tearing up watching this. This country is so sad and I’m so sorry for all the people who are victims to racism. Thanks for starting this conversation Mr Swoozie.
@@artimustroutmanii8839 Do not, I have been tempted to in the past but your best bet is to just reply politely. Don't give them any reason to harass you further.
I admire that you have been able to keep a clear head about racism after experiences like this. You've kept your messaging about solving the problem instead of about being bitter or seeking revenge. +1000 respect. You are a meek soul Swoozie. (meek as dealing with bad things in a healthy way)
I literally got pulled over a few weeks ago when I was leaving my neighborhood Walgreens. In my own neighborhood!! The cop kept asking me what I was doing in this neighborhood so late as if he couldn’t believe I lived in that subdivision. And literally 4 other cop cars pulled up as well. They made me get out the car and searched my entire vehicle, dumped my bottle of ibuprofen out on the ground, all while still not telling me why I was pulled over. When I asked one of the backup cops why I was pulled over he said he was just responding to a call and none of them could tell me the same thing. After they searched my car and ran my ID and plate.. and found NOTHING, I was then informed that I was stopped because the light above my license plate went out & I need to replace the bulbs.... it took 5 police cars and a search of my vehicle to tell me that??!!!!!!
So crazy ridiculous. Meanwhile, I been a victim to about 10 incidents or more to trespassing, propertydamages vandalism, homeintrusion while these juststarted happening or whileoccuring from 30 MINUTES to OVER 5 HOURS of PASSING TIME (JUST WAITING FOR THE COPS TO SHOW UP AFTER CALLING 911) after the damages was done and the suspect was long gone from the crime scene! TRUE STORY!!! It is clear that the procedure of police was to WASTE PRECIOUS TIME and UNNECESSARY RESOURCES on nonsense incidents (of which aren’t really an incident to begin with) and A WASTE OF TAXPAYERS MONEY for pretending they have reasons to doing their “job”. PLEASE. I truly believe that there are some few real good and honest police out there doing the right things serving and protecting communities that doesn’t get notice in the media or the public eyes. BUT WE ALL NEED TO KEEP ALL THESE REAL AND TRANSPARENT. I like Swoozie’s level minded solutions, FR! We need to adopt them across the board to all cities and states.
I got pulled over. I'm Hispanic so I was really hoping he wasnt white. And then he came to the door and i was so relieved to see a black male. He was super kind until his white back up partner came and yelled with the black cop about my situation. Luckily the white cop left and I got left off with a warning
Holy shit y’all doing exactly what swoozie said was racism, taking a attribute from one man and applying it to an entire group Y’all some serious hypocrites
Most cops are heroes, they aren't racists that hate black people or have "personal implicit bias" as you put it, and even if they did have "a personal implicit bias" AKA racism then they shouldn't be cops in the first place then and that's what you should be saying
I was actually kidding. I’m not black, but I do agree with what he said. Although that doesn’t mean that you should go and believe that cops or even white cops for that matter are set to an intent to want to harm people
@@christiniakollar8397 Absolutely not, If someone commits theft and the evidence is already present that they are guilty, the cop would have no need to deliberately turn off his camera when interacting with the suspect. Why would you introduce a possible tampering of evidence charge that could be later be used to exonerate a suspect? Even if the suspect is found guilty it doesn't excuse the officer's actions.
@@kilo2651 You'd have to prove it in the court of law that it was and not something that was deliberately engineered. Either way it would be quite the coincidence that this technical difficulty occurred right before some controversial shooting or action. In such situation the officer would have to demonstrate that they weren't up to anything nefarious.

It's either the taillamp that illuminates the rear license plate and/or have a separate white light above the plate. But chances are if your car was manufactured from the late 1960s - present, then the rear license plate is illuminated. The light excuse is mostly used as a pretextual stop. If you get pulled over for a light and get a ticket on it, take pictures/videos and if theyre lying sue their ass.
@@AndrewMalkin but it's hardly a "license and registration" type offense, for God's sake. I hardly got pulled over for not having a rear tag! For some reason it fell off and all the cop did was roll up, roll down their window and notified me and told me it needs to get replaced asap. One would think that's worse than having a light bulb (that CAN go out) not shine your license plate....yet swoozie got pulled over for it (supposedly)
Hearing stories like these makes me so happy I'm growing up in a place that has good people. Because I am not black, I'mma say that right now. I'm mixed, growing up in a white family I stand out for having darker skin and big curly hair unlike my family and have also hated it. But I know I am super lucky to only get weird looks SOMETIMES when going out with my family and not all of this. I wish everyone in the black community good days. Some of y'all true heroes unlike the "police" tryin to make ya seem like villains.
I know the police is there to protect and serve the community but when there’s three cop cars pulling over an African American, that’s too much. Those cops have been abusing their powers. This needs to stop and it needs to end now!
If a cop turns off their body camera while they're on duty, they should automatically be charged for destroying evidence. No cap. Edit: Wow, I didn't think this comment would blow up. Play Titanfall 2, it's on steam now and it's a lot of fun if you like online shooters.
I’m currently dating a police officer (who is not white btw), and that is literally not possible. If they had their body cam on the whole time, it would die before their 12 hour shift was up. They couldn’t have it on the whole time if they wanted to. Hopefully body cams will get longer battery lives in the near future, but as of right now, cops can’t even keep it on during their entire shift, or even during every interaction they have with civilians. I also think it is important for people to not say things like this or make these kinds of proposals when they don’t even have a legitimate understanding of how things like this work within the police force.
I got that black sense too every time we've been pulled over I'm like "this guys gonna pull us over I know" People who are just sitting in bushes like to pull over our kind I always find it funny when they bring 10 cops to pull us over when we just went 2 mph over the speed limit
Yeah its sad man me and my mom got pulled over because she was going over the speed limit barely (this was awhile ago so i cant remember it exactly) and the cop said we where going 85 on a 60 road its impossible to go 60 on that road because we'd crash.. Its sad
When I was like 10, my mom went like 3 miles over the speed limit and the cop sat right there like, "Do YoU KnOw HoW FaSt YoU WeRe gOinG." My mom said, "No, officer." Cus you know you're not supposed to confess to nothin if you're black. Oh yeah, a bit of backstory, this cop sat on the side of this busy road an errybody was driving like 20 miles over the limit but I live in the yeehaw country of the US of A so all of em were white as snow, so moment he see's my mama driving he thinks, "That one. I wanna harass that one." Long story short, my mom got a ticket after bout 2 minutes of harassment so it wasn't too bad.
@@Daniel-mq3nf He is the victim. Be like swoozie. Speak up and tell your story so people can see how racist the system truly is. He didn't do anything wrong and cops still pull him over for being black. I hope this changes one day.😞
I mean, not gonna lie, these arguments get HEATED. You can't be expected to remain rational and safe on the road when someone is clearly so wrong about something.
Yeah that was a serious problem.. EPISODE 3 IS NOT THE WORST PREQUEL AND PROBABLY ONE OF THE BEST STAR WARS MOVIES. HE HAD TO PULL OVER AND MAKE THAT APPARENT TO HIS FRIEND.
My dad is a black cop and anytime I ask him what's it like he either dodges the question or says it's tiring, honestly I feel bad for him being black and a cop like he's being forced into picking sides which either way would end badly for him Edit: thank you all for your condolences to my dad , I had asked him and he told me he still has about 5 years left until he's able to retire
I feel for all cops that are minorities because there's a fine line between wanting to be a good, productive and proactive "law enforcement" officer and having to "fit in" the Blue Line Brotherhood Club. That Club is NOT all it's cracked up to be but either You're in it or you're not and not being in it could stagnant your career. Sorry to say but it's true.
I’m white. My friend was black and we were chillin in her car. A cop came over and asked my friend to get out of the car. Then I was saying that he had no reason to arrest her. He said “But she had drugs”. I WENT BALLISTIC I kept saying we were LITERALLY just sitting down in the car. I asked him for his name. Then I asked him to bring me, my friend and himself to the police station. I reported him to the desk saying how racist he was and he got fired. It’s so unfair how she was treated and I hope nothing like this happens to anyone
I just remembered I was in the car with my black dad, he got pulled over and when he opened his wallet his lieutenant badge showed. The cop was like "oh? Lieutenant?" and after some talking between him and the officer he said the same excuse of "your licence light was flickering" Guess it's a common excuse.
My aunt was pulled over because one of her tail lights were out because some shitty person hit it and drove off before I took a picture of their license plate we were traveling to Georgia for her daughters wedding and good thing the cop just let her go after he saw her badge :/
Honestly I have to I agree no one should have to say this but us humble non criminal black people who have never touched alcohol never touched a cigarette never commited a crime just have to until the people in authority like our idiot president can help us.

My grandmother got pulled over a few years ago and the cop was just looking for any possible reason to arrest her. First, he said her plate was expired which it wasn't. Then he tried to tell me my seatbelt wasn't buckled, which it was. He had us sitting there for almost an hour for no reason.

Aqualew very not true. career or not, doing the right thing doesn’t pay the bills. But you still do it. Our Justice and Law system needs servers change and it starts with the cops that know It’s wrong. good cops stand up for the people not the system. there is no blue line a cops duty is to protect his community and people. I learned this from law class and A officer himself, and some academy lessons
@@Nofaceallgrace The system does need serious and severe change. There is a deep dark side to law enforcement, I see it everyday. There's always the few bad apples that spoil it for the entire lot. Accountability, transparency, trust and true integrity starts from the top down and if they're not willing to change things and enforce it then... here we remain with whatever they been offering. Crappy, inconsistent and unreliable service hidden behind the motto of to serve and protect.
He should have taken that to court....you cant get me for some BS test without being able to prove possession. Could those tests not false positive, etc...? So many ways a lawyer could've approached this.
That's why you NEVER let a cop search your car even when you know you have nothing to hide. Not all cops are like that, but some are, and I don't need to take those chances. Better get an arrest and contest that than having to prove your innocence on some bogus charge.
Yea. I could understand if they actually found heroine. But it thats true they need to drug test her, the boyfriend, and swoozie as all have been in the car recently.
Drug testing kits aren't 100% reliable. Chemical products such as car interior wipes or even bird poop can can cause false results. So yeah, his sister boyfriend was simply arrested for being a black male or male of color.
I don’t know how Swoozie can tell these stories in such a positive and charismatic way. I’m just listening and trying my best not to cry. Can’t imagine how I would deal living under the same conditions. Makes me respect him all the more.
You know there’s a real injustice in the the American system when swoozies on his third video of being stop by da po po and it’s definitely happened more than three times let’s be real

Frosty Bruh cops aren’t going to say “I’m racist” right before shooting a black person. Minorities are constantly profiled and treated with excessive force, and aren’t held accountable. This is a problem for citizens of all races, but especially black people.
Crazy GamerTV Both autopsies of his body ruled it a homicide. Even if he was on fentanyl (which probably wasn’t as much as your claim), the knee didn’t give him a chance and the officer didn’t care in the slightest.
I get it but you mean like when there finished with a call and are going to the station to head home I think they should be allowed to turn there body cam off but I get it if they are on patrol or a call they can't turn off a body cam I agree but I'm saying that if there done with there shift or heading home they should be able to turn off there body cam
@@pls1877 they not talking about when they go home tho so like you saying that bullshit sounds like you are defending cops who do turn off their body cams
I just want to highlight what he said about the fact that when they didn’t find anything on him, they attempted to provoke him so that they would have justification for an arrest. Why else would they call in so much backup unless they were planning to get him riled up? I’m really glad he pointed this out because while I’ve kind of noticed this, it didn’t really hit home until he said it.
Well officer, I've been driving along with several bodies to throw out the airlock like I was told by the crew. No, I'm not the imposter. No, the imposter is cyan, which is alive in the car as well. Bye, sir
He told it honestly, I literally step out my mother yard, and notice headlights coming up so I paid it 0 attention. I notice neighbors has a little party so a beer can is near my mom yard. So I kick it towards her trash can which is in front. Suddenly without warning the car coming up slams on breaks and person jumps out screaming "GET YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR NOW!" Now they they were staying in the country so I'm not familiar with the cops especially these cops, but I notice thru the lights his arms over the door. I knew what that was, arms instantly in the air. Never been a trouble maker just lived in an area where resort people tended to look at Black people like they didn't belong so cops constantly called. But here I was fresh from California back at my mom's house so I didn't expect this. They walked up guns pointed and one yelled where you headed! I tell him I'm at my mom's house as he tells me a neighbor said there was a suspicious black guy in a hoodie. I tell him I am just coming from my mom's house, fresh back to the area. He asked for ID, and as he ran it the other cops looking at the ground check around me, I seen him pause on the beer can thought nothing of it. So the other cop comes stomping up full speed, me I'm getting nervous but I knew I didn't do anything so I should be fine. BAM! Sharp pain hits my chest as I realize this cop just struck me full force in my chest with his flashlight, those Big mag light flashlights. As I went to lean forward the other cop quickly aims his gun so I hold myself together. "You lied to me boy! You not from around here your from" and he tells me my old address before I even stayed in California, when I stayed with my parents. "Lie to me again, and We can take you in the wood and beat it out of you" Now I'm stuck, I'm shook cause I know it's just me and 2 cops with guns drawn even a scream for my family might tempt them to end it. So as I try to explain that I didn't change my ID here, he tells me say another word and I'll disappear.. Now I'm really stuck. So the other cop kind of looks at me like I don't feel like dealing with this nor you and he points out the beer can. Without any test or anything instantly cuffs come out and I'm under arrest, WWI and with no flashlight on a lit street. So I wanted to say something but I'm stuck and shook. He places me in the car and says you better tell me somewhere to drop you off at and sign this warrant. Otherwise your going missing. I named my old address, he said no, I said hell Walmart it's 24hrs, nope, but I notice he has driven to the point he near what now is my wife parents house. I name there, but I'm shook cause I'm like I don't know what he planning but this doesn't look good. So he pulls up, it's now 11, 12 at night with his spotlight shining into the windows. I'm like man I'm about to have to run or something. I'm not just gonna get drug to my own grave. My wife dad(God rest his soul) opened the door and yell what was going on. Cop snatches me out by my collar and slams me against the side of the car. I'm in pain not just from the cuff, but twice now he used my chest for stress relief. So my father in law sees this, yells yeah I know him let him go, and starts walkin onto the porch. Me, I knew he had got sick when I first met my wife so I'm thinkin he had a cane I guess so did the cop. Cop takes off the cuffs and slams the paper in my chest and says "go before I change my mind and you disappear in these woods." I ran like crazy, which is stupid thinking about it now but I had never came to that point before. As I got close to my wife dad he leaning on the what I thought was a cane, turn out was a shotgun. First words he said to me as I try to explain to him what happened he says "Go back there with her and go to sleep, you safe" He said my wife name but I didn't include that, but still to this day I will even tell my kids even though fathers most time don't like their daughters boyfriends, I owe that man my life. Sad thing is even then I still never put 2 and 2 together to realize how corrupt the system was with racism even after when I went into court and straight tried to tell on the cop to the judge. Only to hear him tell me "I don't have nothing to do with that" Even said they never tested me or anything "His exact words even after I had said the cop hit and threatened to kill me was well it's says here you skipped the test and admitted to being drunk. Smh

Troy T so the cop should do so also, I mean that is their job. But they didnt make Swoozie feel safe, same as every black person in america. Tell the cop to make us feel safe not the other way around smh
Troy T But the lengths Swoozie went to and make the cop feel safe was ridiculous. I’ve been pulled over for speeding, running a red, and not having my headlights on. As a non-black person, I’ve only had to cooperate with the cop’s requests, not physically make myself less threatening to make the cop feel safe.
