Please take the time to watch Janet's Documentary so that you will see how Iconic Janet is in her own right outside of Michael. She is the blueprint for female artists for the last 4 decades. Her catalog of music is impeccable. She is one of only four artists in history who have had #1 Album's in each of the last four decades (Barbara Streisand, Bruce Springsteen, and U2 are the other 3 ) she has been inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and her album Rhythm Nation was added to The National Recording Registry at the Library of Congress. These are only a few of her accomplishments.

In an interview with Michael Jackson, he said that Janet called to ask if she could use the military-style dance she saw in Michael Jackson short film Captain EO in her video for this song.
