Welcome to episode #024 of our monthly 'Gliding' drone feature film series.
Scene #01: Swan River, Perth, WA
We open the scene facing the Matagarup Bridge near Optus Stadium and pass over Heirisson Island Kangaroo Sanctuary located in the middle of the river. After making a turn to see Lake Vasto and its surrounding sculptured gardens we also catch a glimpse of the famous Western Australia Cricket Ground (WACA). Following Riverside Drive and the adjoining Langley Park the CBD of Perth looms in the distance. For the finale it is a view of Perth from the perspective of South Perth as we close in on Elizabeth Quay and South Jetty. The scene closes with a close-up of the iconic Bell Tower.

Scene #02: Wedding Cake Island
Located just off the coast of Coogee in Sydney's prestigious Eastern Suburbs. A small formation of rock, Wedding Cake Island is believed to have attained its name because it's shape appears to roughly resemble that of a wedding cake, particularly when white water breaks over the island, which gives it the appearance of 'icing'.

Scene #03: Cape Leeuwin, Western Australia
The most south-westerly (but not most southerly) mainland point of the Australian continent, Cape Leeuwin is where two oceans meet - The Indian and The Great Southern. The Wardandi, a First Nations Australian people, called the area "Doogalup", but the area was renamed by colonial explorer Matthew Flinders. Considered one of the three great capes of the world the headland is also the site for the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, a 39m (128ft) tower constructed from local stone. The scene opens beside the petrified water wheel, a non-operating water wheel that was used to pump fresh water to the lighthouse.

Scene #04: Anzac Bridge
Named after Australia and New Zealand Army Corps (Anzac) who served in WWI, Anzac Bridge is the largest cable-stayed bridge in Australia with a span of 345 meters. Construction began in 1992 and the bridge opened in 1995. A major thoroughfare between the Sydney CBD and the city's inner western suburbs.

Scene #05: Barrenjoey and Palm Beach, Pittwater
On the northern most tip of Sydney's Northern Beaches is the Barrenjoey headland. Here resides a lighthouse which is a popular point to climb for the views of Palm Beach which is the long stretch of sand that connects to the headland. In this scene we glide in from the north and head south past Governor Phillip Park until reaching Observation Point. Fans of the TV Soap 'Home and Away' will recognise the area as that featured as the fictious location of Summer Bay.

Scene #06: River's Edge, Haberfield
In this short scene we take a close up look at the weathered sandstone rock that lines the shore of the Parramatta River in the suburb of Haberfield.
