This video provides disassembly and installation instructions for replacing a damaged motor on a drone. Shown is an Ascend model ASC-2600. Drone motors rotate either clockwise or counterclockwise depending on position. I ordered the wrong one and in the video show how that affects the drone and how to change a clockwise DC motor into a counterclockwise rotating motor.

Excellent video. Very well done. Detailed without being overly long. Until I watched I thought my $70 drone was trash. I'll let you know how mine turns out.

New motor arrived and installed. We are back in business. Can't thank you enough for posting this video. Already gave you a "like" and a subscribe. I can Sync the drone and the controller. I can start it and I can take off and land it without damaging it. That may not sound like much to you but for a total newbie like me it means a great deal. Do you have any "learn to fly it" videos of your own or can recommend any others on RU-vid?

i have a asc-2680 and i crashed it pretty bad recently i broke some plastic under one of the propellers i tried fixing it with crazy glue with no avail u can hear the gear slipping with a pretty loud squeal im probly just gonna get another 2680 and keep this one for parts i dont know what else to do

That does sound bad. I think I just got lucky with this crash that it was only one motor.

Which motor do I need to buy? Any specs (aside from rotational direction)?

I simply searched under the drone model number online and was led to a motor. It does need to rotate in the same direction as the original (which is the same direction as the opposite corner motor). If you get the wrong one you can reverse the wires to change the direction.
