RAF Folkingham was first used as a US Army Air Force Station No 484 January 1944 - March 1945. RAF Folkingham later served as a post-war Thor missile base with 3 IRBM launchers under 223 (SM) Sqn, from Dec 1959 until Aug 1963.
Only half the runway still exists and this has scrap vehicles and machinery along it's length. It is on private land, so entry on foot could be difficult.
