No, I had checked probably about 9 months ago or so and the recommended firmware was version 5 and I had the latest version 6 which had not been hacked. And as you know one cannot downgrade anymore. Now version 6 has been hacked. Went up a little over 4200 feet before the low battery made me do a forced landing.

So I can't give you legal advice or anything of that nature. 1) The website isn't DJI and is, from what I understand, based in Slovakia, which is far from China, despite what the US government tells us. 2) It's going to be only for the drone you bought it for, and it will be tied to your email, so you won't be able to transfer the hack to someone else if you sell it. 3) I doubt DJI will even give you any warranty on an old model drone like that, but I could be wrong. However, I'm 100% certain any shop that fixes drones will fix it. Also, you can remove the hack from the drone's software.

@_Kommissar_ what type of a drone are you getting? If it's new or even used make sure u don't update the firmware. Check the dronehacks website to see if that drone will be compatible. I don't work for the company just posted my personal experience since there wasn't much out there. #drone #dronehacks #drones

1) Yes I payed twice for my air2s and mini 2 2) I believe your license gets locked in the system so you can reapply the hack as many times as you need to as long as its same serial number. 3) As far as what firmware is supported and is compatible with the "hack" software you would have to check with the website I am not sponsored by drone hacks or anything like that just made this video since i didnt see much info on this when i was doing it. Unless you have lost your drone and got a replacement drone from dji care. They will switch your pass for free to your replacent drone. Just ones.

@@calambria100 is that mean the drone hack website is DJI legit not someone who's jailbreaking drones for money ? 2: when you say the DJI care will replace the drone, do you refer if the drone in the 1 year guarantee right?

@@wadyeggas i got in contact with the company of hack and they really helped me out and gave me a free pass connected to my email so i could switch it to my other drone

I doubt it but the speed that technology is moving I would say that in a few years we will all upgrade our drones.

@@galinschi_studio For my intended purpose my mini2 does everything I want it to. If I was to perform this hack and leave the drone on a dedicated device that has no internet I shouldn’t receive any firmware update requests and any forced updates right? Nor would DJI be able to put geo zones back on it and expand them correct since nothing is hooked to the internet?

@lanejohnson7656 So Dji will be asking you to click download/install update, and you will be ignoring it.

Hey! So did the dji give a reasoning for blocking the drone? I am not 100% sure how this works but I'm sure it's something similar to how IPhone works and I'm sure they blacklist your serial number so anytime you connect to the fly app it won't grant you the access. I believe there is a paid fly app version of lychee it's a 3rd party fly app and u can see if they support the Air2s. Other then that it might have to be a professional that can take ur drone apart and replace the piece that communicates with the app and showing the serial number. I hope that helps and definetly try to access your drone with 3rd party app like lychee. Cheers!

@@galinschi_studio I contacted DJI support. I sent serial number, they checked that drone is blocked. because the dji store was stolen, then I block the drone. There was a colleague of mine who bought the drone with the same problem. He bought it from the Aliexpress store, he got in touch with the seller. the seller and made a video call through the computer, put a USB cable to pair with the drone and the computer, and managed to unlock the drone by updating the firmware downgrade.

That might be due to signal traffic maybe too much radio frequencies in that area, tall buildings, etc. If I fly around buildings I make sure that if I loose signal I set my return home hight higher then buildings around and make it go back towards the take off location. Usually you will get the signal back once the drone passes those obstacles. Hope this helps and I understand your issue I faced it many times because of tall buildings

If you follow the video your reversing the firmware...so you wont be updating. With the new drones out we arent going to be getting anymore updates most likley . The firmware supports the use of the RC remote btw

Something should be available later this year. DJI just released the SDK for it a few days ago. Check the Drone Hacks over the next few months to see when it will be available.
