As a fan of the small planes, I have a couple Horizon Hobby UMX, and I love them. They are great to keep in the car, and stop at random small field or lot.

You are right! Most plane rc companies tend to make their planes front heavy by default. I have flown a lot now so I end up modifying pretty much every plane I get to push that weight a bit further back on each plane. Sadly when I was a complete noob due to the plane being front heavy I would keep crashing the planes into the ground. Most people give up on the plane hobby for that reason. Not sure why the companies keep doing that. Of course the expert pilots all know this so they fix that or they spend all day hitting the up elevator.

@@CAPTAINDRONE798 I really enjoy watching you fly it. Those new I think 30mm ducted fan engines are revolutionary. They are also quite hard to come by. I wanted to buy some from eflite but so expensive and they come disassembled. Almost better to buy this plane fly it into the day it crashes and recycle the beautiful engines for projects one day down the line. Looks like the landing gear is good! Can take a rough landing.

Nice flight!! THAT IS not a beginners RC. Get some Eachine warbirds....perfect for a new RC pilot. Then bounce over to this one!..very cool design.

Would be nice if they sold just fuselage, motors, props combo. In that case I would definitely make the rudder controllable. Next I would put in some decent servos and Rx to connect it to my Jumper T18! Nice plane, good video, thanks for uploading!

Yep. I can see anyone who gets 1 of these pretty quickly replacing that weird looking spindly undercarriage with 3 loops of solid cable tie or line trimmer cord. They'd take the sting out of a hard dumping after a hand launched flight much better. ;-)

Thanks 👍. You'll find that most people that only stick to one hobby get kinda boring and give up the hobby, but those who try new things in the RC hobby, stay in the RC hobby for a very long time.

You are right it have limitations, it’s shape very good looks like Airliner but no flaps , ailerons in center very wrong, No Glides very harder to land. Takeoff good , cruise good but when lands not slow down even cutting throttle it falls , on little throttle it fast enough not lands even broken at landing time. I flies regularly Horizon Hobby Planes & other Chinese Models but by this Plane my Fun turned into Tears when it broke at landing time very harder to land . This Model know only take off & Cruise but not know how to land as no Flaps Ailerons in center useless. No Functional Rudder. Front Tire looks ugly & broken at first landing. No Low battery indicator beep on controller . On low battery it suddenly starts Falling at distance place. Shape looks like very good, material is good but works very bad totally a waste of money. Thanks

I have very little info, other than it probably has 2.5 inch props, so that tells you the size, and it will be very much designed for beginners with plenty of stability & gps.

Afaik the radio should bind with Futuba S-FHSS and have 10 place model memory, at least the X6 and X7 radios did.

The X8 XK radios (as from the XK X420/X520/X450) certainly DO NOT use Futaba S-FHSS. The small K110 etc helies, some older drones and also some older planes did and could be bound to the X6/7 radios as you say.

Hi! I bought 2 of this plane, but due to the same symptom I can't use it: when I plug the battery, only the right stick works, but not the left (throttle) stick. Any idea why?

Sounds like it is not linked. Move left joystick to top and then bottom.

A bit on the expensive side but flies pretty well. More suited to the fast and furious brigade than "beginners!" X8 radio suggests another sub-protocol of XK for the Multis. "Since I am beginning to like RC Planes I thought, "Why not, let's check it out"."... If true you might like to try the AtomRC/Eachine Flying Fish. Sub 250gms even with cheap FPV and a multi-mode stab like a RadioLink Byme-A fitted. Wide flight envelope to suit all from Grandpa to loony teen speed freaks! Assessment of long term reliability still pending yet.

5 to 8 minutes is low. I've had beginner rc places same size you are showing and they ran 15 to 20 minutes. But it is good for a park flyer

EDFs are pretty well always inefficient. You pay dearly for all that speed and noise. For all that this seems to be a better performer than the junk that XK has been putting out lately. (EG the A160!!!) But unfortunately the high price will limit its uptake even if no major issues surface.

I use either FOAM TACK glue or CA GORILLA GLUE (like a type of crazy glue).

Steve I have 3 DJI drones I would like to sell .. Mavic Mini 2 , DJI Air2s , & DJI fpv drone .. They all have the fly more combo & DJI care refresh .. I have a bunch of after market stuff for all of the drones . I’ve only flown them a few times a piece ever .. They are in mint condition I also have cases for all 3 drones ,, Hell the FPV drone has never been put in flip mode ..

When your kill the throttle...that plane should be steady balanced!!..not nose down instead...which means your nose is heavy. That is not balance man. Use simulator to learn how to fly rc plane...that is the right and safe way. But thanks for the video anyway...
