To me it looks like the other boat had sunk in the past then the sail boat happened to be park over where it rested on the bottom. At the 2:20 mark you can see another previously submerged boat beside the large white one. Also take note of the water mark on paddle wheeler at 2:37 all the dark areas were under water at one time.
@@spamanator666 I appreciate the responses, it doesn't make sense to me tho. That's a muddy river bottom, why is the top of the boat that's on bottom so clean if it's been underwater for a while? Usually things under water get pretty gross pretty quickly
For sure will.. even the climate change people think so. It will be cycles of extreme drought to extreme flooding (1000/10000 year floods ever few years)
That area is substantially above sea level Neighbor. Water flows down hill remember ? If salt water was that far inland, melting glaciers would be the least of your problems. Memphis, TN is 338 feet above sea level. Two completely different issues, both linked to a changing/shifting climate, but different symptoms. What we refer to as "weather" is heat energy being redistributed across the planet. That is why warmer water results in stronger hurricanes and typhoons. And the more ice melts the warmer the atmosphere becomes because bare ground/water absorbs heat where ice and snow reflect it. It may also develop into a feedback loop and accelerate the process. We will be finding out the hard way, if not this generation, then the next one. And the planet...it will be just fine. It just may not be habitable for Humans any longer. But what do I know.....
@@squarebill Hmm you did not see the one yacht tossed onto another one beside a destroyed wharf? or the crumbled building that was barely recognizable sitting 10 feet from its foundation on the mud?? Guess you did not watch the same video I just did LOL!
I think the boat underneath the sail boat must have sunk a long time ago and they just left it. Then the sail boat sat on top of it when the harbor drained
well, back then there were ice ages so maybe more water flowing from glaciers…. the point is… the river is low, it impacts shipping, recreation, fishing…
The docks have brackets that loop loosely around the posts and allow them to float up and down while holding configuration. This works well with normal water level fluctuations,…. But I’m sure the builders never expected this.
I noticed a Godzilla footprint in the mud at the 30 second mark. He had to have walked through very quietly, after dark, or he would have had all of those boats in a total panic.
Yeah not much ice or snow.only goes below freezing a handful of days per year.and alot of those aren't successive days in a row so no real deep freezing occurs.
Why is the Mississippi loosing water while Lake mead's water level is rising ??? Something odd is happening !!! Me thinks !!! Why did Harp fire up this year ???
It's called the monsoon season out west. Also they are not using much water to irrigate the crops this time of year. The fall is usually the driest time of year for the Midwest. Unless there is a hurricane.
