Since making this video I have done 2 things. First I have successfully flown this quad in my garage, video coming in a few days. Second, I did try to ride my motorcycle, but my back said HELL NO!! So I will not be riding my bike for another month or so at least..... In the meantime I will practice flying quads on RealFlight 9 and this beater when time permits.
Buy an old DJI Phantom (1) and look on my channel to see how i installed 4 Liitokala batteries in it and you will have a real beast for cheap . You can also do a tutorial on how to install the Liitokala bateries into the Phantom 1 ,better explained and filmed than what i did ,because manny people have Phantoms 1 and wish to modify them ( the battery). 5 years ago it costed 1000 dollars to but a P1 but now a days you might get it for 50-100 dollars. I guarantee you will be impressed in a good way,100%. Im disapointed because i learned a lot from your channel and i use the knowledge to build a drone powered by a generator with a thermal motor and i see you got tricked into buying a toy grade drone. If monney is not your issue and you want a light weight drone that does not require registration,then DJI just released the new Mavic mini 2 for this year Christmass wich costs 600 dollars,has 249 grams,brushless motors ,4k camera with 3 axis gimbal ,etc but i highly reccomend you get a Phantom 1 for first and replace the batteries with Liitokala 40 lii like i did. Sell this toy drone and get the Phantom 1 second hand .You will become a DJI fan for sure and you will be impressed by the quality of their drones from every aspect possible. And you dont need a simulator to fly the Phantom 1 ,just read the instructions and start with GPS mode. Inwould have even borrowed you my Phantom 1 and even let you dissasemble it, to convince you to go with DJI drones and no otther brand.

Sadly you were scammed David, the drone x pro is a Eachine quad, it retails for 40 dollars, but isnt an awful quad. Go have fun with it, in time you may decide to move up to a mavic or a phantom, they are quite nice to play with, and you would get great footage on your travels.
How much you paid for this drone? Seems like it doesnt have brushless motors but brushed( coreless) motors and they are weak and broke easy. As far as the obstacle avoidance sensors,i dont see any( they look like camera lens and are in fact low resolution cameras). This drone looks like a rebranded Eachine e58 wich its a low cost copy of DJI mavic drones. If you want great image ( cinematic) you need a gimbal where the camera is.These gimbals are 2 or 3 axis and they have tiny brushless motors that keep the camera still . DJI mavic mini has 3 axis gimbal with 3 brushless motors that held the camera. No gimbal means the immage will shake no matter how crisp clear is the camera. Asside from filming,the drones are used a lot for FPV ( first person view) where you fly and see what the camera sees through a set of special glasses with antennas that receive the signal from the camera. The immage from FPV its not high quality as the cinematic filming on professional drones used for filming but its enough to see where you fly and have the feeling that your actually flying( you can get dizzy from circling and otther stunts). FPV gear ( goggles and camera) are not that expensive and good kits can be as low as 100 dollars the goggles( i reccomend Eachine ev800d or even better quanum Cyclops with diversity) and 15-25 dollars the camera plus 10 dollars the camera transmitter called a VTX.
I bought an earlier version of this but have yet to fly...same thing, saw an and thought ok I’ll get them a Christie pressies for my nephews. Would be good to see the quality so looking forward to seeing what you can do with it Dave. Sorry to hear you’re in pain hopefully some physio/massage and pain meds will make it more manageable. Wouldn’t it be cool to have a nitro powered drone! Haha!
I brought a mavic mini a few weeks back I have never flown a drone before or been interested in them to use for recording and stuff.I must say I flew it without trying out a simulator or anything it was a piece of cake to fly and it was really good fun messing around making videos and taking pics.My friend recorded my plane as I flew it round our local field that was fun.Once were into next spring I will get the drone and planes back out and make sum cool vids I'm actually looking forward to it now I think you will like it David once you get used to it
cant ride my bike til i change my rear tire. cant change it until my foot heals. been messed up for over 3 months. maybe next month. hope your back gets feeling better so you can ride again.
