Thank you Juergen for a really entertaining video, something completely different and dare I say a little comical at times, but the end result was achieved , really great. This is TRUE ham radio spirit, and may we thank you also for your videos from Friedrichshafen Ham Radio Show 2024 this year, wonderful as we were unable to return again (we have visited many times in the past) this year due poor health. @@73deoldtimer Hello Barbara and Martin. You are welcome! Glad to hear you liked it :-) Indeed that video was a lot of fun. I had no idea if this is possible. Next time I take a bigger Drone HI. Friedrichshafen was great, even though there were very few new items and few dealers. It was my first time streaming such an event live and I had some issues. But hey, we are amateurs right ;-) ? Congratulations! That was a very entertaining video! And I apologize, but I could not help to laugh every time the drone went too high pulling on ur tuner or came down unexpectedly (great outtakes, too) 🤣 I have the exact same DJI drone and share your frustrations with all the firmware updates and inconsistencies. I will also try this and learned from your experience: 1) use a longer lead line to increase separation between drone and antenna, 2) use a very lightweight antenna, I will try a 20M EFHW 22-gauge wire with the transformer attached to a short fiberglass rod stuck into the ground so it doesn't weigh down the drone, and 3) try to find a sunny day with little wind. Hello Greg and good evening from Austria! Thanks for watching - much appreciated! Yep, a longer lead line definitely helps I guess. Next time I try to lift an EFHW. There was very little wind that day. And that rarely happens here. I had to take advantage of that. So everything had to happen very quickly. BTW: I remember your QRZ page. I probably heard you at a POTA activation Best 73 from near Vienna! George AH6UN / OE4JHW

I always yell “woooo hoooo” when I get POTA DX to Europe from California! That’s a long QSO trip. And yes, I’m a very active POTA activator! So much fun to go portable! 73 KJ6ER

Hello I did the same thing a few years ago with a phantom3 pro. the drone lifted between 250 and 300 g otherwise went to safety with a message on the screen and came back down. in this mode I use an EFHW antenna 21m long and weighing 170g with a 25m line between the drone and the antenna. in this drone mode I use it mainly to hang 40m EFHWs in trees with an intermediate rope. Otherwise in case of wind I mainly use one of my kites, it's much less stressful good luck in your experiments 73 de Patrick F1LPT

Very good try but i would have had a two man team one to monitor the drone and the other to do the radio. Just my thoughts 😊 but a good try anyway rob
