Are dropshots legal in Detroit? They’re not allowed in any other river in Michigan? Edit- they are allowed on Great Lakes connected water ways, but not rivers. With boats a connected waterway has to be 2.5 miles wide. Not sure if that’s the same for fishing rules. Seems like it would be. So most rivers connected to a Great Lake are not “connected waterways”. Detroit isn’t 2.5 wide, but maybe has special status with all the international shipping?
@@fatherpetey2866 How would I know that or care? It’s in the 2023 fishing book in a dropshotting section. Someone showed me after I talked about using dropshots in another river.
@@fatherpetey2866 Drop-Shotting: The practice of having a weight suspended below a single-pointed hook that is tied directly to the main fishing line is lawful on inland lakes, drowned river mouths, Great Lakes and Great Lakes Connecting Waters only. This gear may not be used on rivers or streams. 🎤🫳
