I rode it 3 times and to this day I'm still scared to death of ot. This ride is one of those where once you ride it it's not that scary but your still nervous to go on it
My dad once rode this with his brother and this lady had her phone out and was filming herself. As they dropped, she accidentally let go of her phone. It dropped at the same pace they were. It hit the ground and shattered into a million pieces.
Yeah I'm always paranoid about my phone on these rides, trying to protect myself and my phone is a bit much though so usually someone else that isn't going on the ride holds it 😅
I can do any roller coaster but drop zone still scares the hell out of me. Went on it twice in a row because the line was super short and the second time was arguably scarier than the first time.
I went on a relatively small one and hated it so much. I don't understand why people will voluntarily go on something three times as big as what I went on.
spittyfire3 Ikr! Usually you'd think looking down would be scarier, but whenever I looked up, I freaked out and imagined myself flying past the top of the tower. But when I looked down, it was much better!! :)
Got on the ride for the first time, after the volcano, fucking scared until we actually reached the top. "We'll be counting down to one for the first time rider's, 10" *Dropped*
I miss kings dominion!! Came to this park a bunch as a kid but rode this ride back in 2006 (16) I still declare it as the scariest ride I’ve ever been on!
man i rode this joker. i love thrill rides. i am a thrill seeker. but this one had me blacked out. cuz it caught my stomach and this baby is no joke. kings dominion got every drop zone beat, im still recovering from it
I love this ride!! I've ridden it a few times now. Unfortunately, I haven't been to Kings Dominion in a few years, and watching this brought back memories!! :)
I love Kings Dominion, but I've never ridden this. I don't know if I should. This kind of ride scares me a little bit. Roller coasters don't really scare me that much at all but I'd be a little nervous on this. It's the going up part that freaks me out. I really wanna ride it but I don't know if I could do it
The best way to explain going on this is: imagine you are slowly picked up by a 272 foot giant, and then he drops you, and right before you hit the ground, you slow down.
@@dumebianaenugwu7633 yeah, I would suggest not looking down first of all, but also I would wait about 4 seconds at the top, and then take a deep breath. Then hold the grip bars tightly. It usually takes about 5 - 8 seconds before the initial fall at the top, and to be honest, going up is much scarier than going down because the actual drop is about 2 seconds long so you have nothing to worry about. When I went to kings dominion for my schools ROTC trip to DC I rode 4 roller coasters at first I wouldn't ride any but I got over it but I will never get on a drop tower
Princess Poké Next time I go I might go on it again. The Intimidator 305 is what scares me the most. I've been on it twice and I haven't been on it since.
