In this video, I drop my GoPro 150ft underwater in a shark hotspot! I captured so many different hammerhead sharks! Todays adventure brings me back down to the Florida Keys in search of Scalloped Hammerhead sharks. We know a secret spot known to be home to scalloped hammerheads during the spring and fall, and with any luck you're able to have a once in a lifetime experience with these animals.
One thing to know about hammerheads is that, despite their large size, they are incredibly shy and skittish. They might pop up to the surface for 5-10 minutes at a time, but otherwise like to stick in much deeper water. In order to get some better footage, we decided to drop my GoPro down into the middle of the action, and the footage is astonishing!
