Not only the victim gets a hefty penalty, but whats even more disgusting is that the rammers usually gets free of penalties.

All those "avoidable contacts" are going to make people "avoid" playing this game multiplayer if they dont fix it

I drove very carefully and fairly the entire time. Always careful not to cause an accident and not to ruin the race for other players. What good did it do for me? An S rating and never anywhere near the podium. My score went under 3000, so I had enough. I continue to drive fairly, but I also try to assert myself. Driving too fairly doesn't help at all, you get the penalties for the rammers anyway. Just had it again yesterday: 4 seconds for someone pushing me off the track. My safety rating has dropped to A, but my skill is at 3800. And I have reached the podium more often.

Make a clip of it right away and send it to the developers so that the Cam5675 can be banned. Such players have no place in multiplayer.

and as an added "bonus" the worse your rating is, the worse the drivers that they put you in with will be, which means that you're more likely to get penalized for getting rammed in the future. Source- got rammed into oblivion on my first qualifier, got penalized for it, and pretty much every race since something similar has happened. Now driving in fields of graduates from the 'Ray Charles Racing Academy" and "Stevie Wonder Speed School".

At least you finished on the podium while the Pink Porsche was in the last places

Avoidable contact and Offtrack penalties have been bugged for Hakone Circuit.

I think what has to be mentioned though is even through all of that, you managed to get yourself up from stone dead last on lap 3 to to a podium position within 10 laps. Even more impressive to read that you are doing this with a keyboard, not even a joypad or wheel! Hats off to you, I don't think your RU-vid name describes you at all!

I dropped from S to B from understeering into the sandtraps twice :) I gained soo much time there that the +6 seconds of penalties were completely reasonable

THIS! Literally this keeps happening to me. It’s so infuriating when you try being a good sport, only for the game to punish you because someone else decided to be an utter spoon.

I like to know how the safety rating works. Got a penalty for 1 avoidable collision when sandwiched between 2 stay at S rating, 4 races later with 3 podiums and zero penalties in all get dropped to A 😐🤨. Keep the vids coming bro ✌️

welcome to the club. at the moment i am on the point where i dont drive quali anymore cause i get punted away anyway if i start in the first row. and when someone dosnt leave space while overtaking cause they are blind i push/spin them out of the way. and the fun thing is if you do that u most often dont get a penalty. dosnt make any diffrence anyway wich safety rating you are :)

Feel your pain. Similar happened to me. You get penalized for getting caught up in someone's else's mess. Hope Turn 10 fixes this.

Literally this happened to me yesterday. I went from S straight to B two races before the 10 races for the achivement. A highly skilled companion managed to T-bone me after taking a pit from the first place.

Fun fact I get better races after getting dropped to B……as soon a I get a S rating people start playing like we are getting paid. Finally got those 10 in a row though😮‍💨

I have the same thing happened, I got on this morning to see the effects of two collision avoidance penalties in one race. Went from s to be with a skill rating of 4,812.

I got brake checked on a straight and got a penalty on my first multiplayer race and immediately got dropped into B, never touching it again.

I would love to see these games implement a race director feature, in which 3 players were allowed to supervise the race and penalize (with consensus) accordingly.

If I wanted to play a penalty simulator I would just play GT Sport. but now we have Forza Motorsport (GT Sport 2.0)

This exact same thing happened to me today. Just kamikazed me into a wall. Twice. Both times marked as 'Avoidable Contact' totalling a 4.00+ penalty. Ridiculous. Worst thing is going to B now puts you in with the rammers. So there's no winning or ever any chance of getting that 10 race multiplayer S rank achievement!

This is why I just do rivals and don’t bother with multiplayer.

Same thing happened to me. Have been in S raring since I started the game and was forced off the track by a couple people and dropped to B. Holy hell, now that I’m in B lobby’s it’s a crap show of how people drive!

Bruh, in order to get 10 clean races achievement, I LITERALLY had to be last in quali, stop on track for 10 seconds, drive 30km/h, and ONLY THEN when nobody is around - I can start driving normally. I had to finish 10 races DEAD LAST and lose rating from 4700 to 3600 only to be sure I'll get the achievement.

So the main flaw I see with the system: It's very good at judging the first incident that happens, but any form of collateral that follows will make the system assume the crash was avoidable. At 0:04, there's a high chance this would have come up as "no penalty" But the collision shortly after at 0:07 was probably picked up by the game and assumed as brake checking, resulting in the penalty. Same as 0:17. The yellow car hit the green car first, spinning him out. Had you not made last contact with the green car, you would have avoided the penalty. Definitely a very awkward system full of loopholes. I hope they improve it in coming updates, but it looks pretty rough

I just hope that because the game is still new turn 10 are working on fixing the penalty system.

For me , the more frustrating is when u passed some one fair by the outside and they just glue themselves to u by turning into u while u go in the grass and many people passed u because the contact and the grass slow as fuck

I went from 16th to 3rd the other day and was about to pass 2nd as he had crashed. This loser intentionally blocks my path, spins me out, and I finish 7th on top of getting a penalty for his bullshit. The penalties in this game suck and reward rammers and sore losers.

That's why i always regarded the entirety of Forza as a joke simulator, because that's the only thing it simulates accurately.

I got basically no stoped in a corner , I got both an avoidable collision and an off track penalty while he literally got nothing. They will get it sorted, I’m sure they will.

Man, I just went from 4700 to 4500 skill points all because people kept bumping me off track and spinning me around. Was getting really good races last week where all sorts of people gave each other room to race. Now it's back to impatient noobs that LOVE to block me from a 12th place finish... 12th place! It's not like it was a podium finish but 12th!

Ppl dont understand 1 major flaw with the penalty system once you hit a car in this situation taking your foot of the pedal and then gradually getting safe to move off again stops you getting a penalty. Keep the throttle down and think you can just go through gets you a penalty every time

This seems to happen a lot more in the GT series. People drive those things like they’re F1 cars always dive bombing every corner and trying to brake late. They don’t even try to avoid contact cause they think “rubbing is racing” smh. I stick to the touring cars mostly since you can catch them more easily if you do get spun out and it’s easier to avoid morons in them lol.

I also dropped S to B in like 2 races, but it was very easy to get back up. This is at 4930

Seriously need to tweak the penalty system. I went from 4500 to 3800 in a couple of days cause of rammers doing stupid things.

My 1st race - top speed at str8 line i'm almost touching rear of the car infront of me and he crashes into invisible texture on the side of the track , i crash into him in full speed got 7 seconds penalty and D safety rating .... Next races were with demolition derby players

I really cant tolerate this kind of people. Like, Why ? That high on the skill ratings with S Safety shouldnt have this kind of problems. Im S 4775 and I see them regularly. The penalty system though NEEDS be fixed ASAP !!

This circuit needs more curves

gets a 0.5 sec for cutting track, but gets a 1.50 sec penalty for going wide on corner....

I once got pushed off track and got 18 seconds penalty! Then got kicked out immediately from the race.

Driver and safety ratings are frankly meaningless in terms of matchmaking, I wouldn't lose sleep over it.

How is it possible that u brake so late on the brake line, if I don’t brake before or exactly when the brake line starts i end up not being able to make the turn at all
