Yes, I love it. Just make sure the nose of the boat is above the plastic piece that it slides on before pulling up and no problem. If you call the company they will make sure you get exactly the one you need for your boat. I would not do without one that's how much I like it.

Not if the concrete goes back far enough. Many are designed extra long for power loading to avoid prop wash damage.

Could just back up a little further save on unnecessary wear on boat and trailer
