I can’t understand why they weren’t reusing the fresh water from the beginning. They’re just waisting all that fresh water and flushing millions of gallons into the ocean with every ship? 🤦🏻♂️
I lived in Panama in the early ‘70’s. Seeing the locks and dams I’d the Panama Canal was an exhilarating experience. And yes, during the rainy season, you. Luke set your watch to the timing. Always a welcome time to stop and listen to nature. Panama is a beautiful country. Can’t imagine the canal being high and dry.
I saw them the same in the 70s when my uncle was a head of The School of The Americas. I spent an entire summer with them. I was a young teenager, around thirteen years old. Where I learned to water sled ski, on Lake Gatun. Everyone else was saying that I wasn't going to be able to do it because of my height, but my uncle had faith in me. I did it very well and loved it. Once I learned I wanted to do it all the time. He built a boat house, he used a machete to get to the place, obviously with other men, clear it all out to be able to build, and we'd have picnics at the boat house and dock. Don't tell a Puerto Rican US Army officer, probably Colonel by then, that he wasn't going to be able to have what he wanted of weekend recreational boating. The Panama Canal locks were further up west from where we were located. I loved that base life, I wanted to live there permanently. I think that the nearest town is called Colon. Columbus in Spanish. Cristobal Colon.
Might affect US customers. No, it will almost certainly WILL affect us. The fact that they havent been reusing the water says alot about the management in Panama. You should have been doing that since day one.
One of thousands of unusual weather events that's never been seen before. Still, expect deniers to keep denying all the way up to when the food supply starts to die off. At that point, we'll have a bunch of deniers looking like deer in the headlights.
I hope that your prediction comes true but there's a part of me that guess they'll just find some other conspiracy to blame. Immigrants maybe or government weather control. They'll do anything to protect their shell of existence from reality. Because they don't want to assume that they are responsible for much of anything
@@bhaebe6671 There will always be rain. Water evaporates from the ground, lakes, ponds and oceans and then falls back to earth in the form of rain. Rain isn't dependent on the presence of a forest. Good grief man.
Improve local economies by producing things locally- stop transporting poor countries resources to America for low paying American factory jobs to ship back to poor raw material countries…. or are those the jobs South Americans walked to North America for?
Every year they cry drought until it starts raining again. They act like they don't know there's a dry season and rainy season and either one can be shorter or longer than the last. It's not clockwork.
@@guillermogouldburn763no. Los ciclos estacionales se están radicalizando. Es más palpable en los trópicos. Aunque dudo que te interese la lógica de los procesos climatológicos.
“We have actually had to deal with some of this back from the 1990s,” Lars Ostergaard Nielsen, head of the Americas liner operations center at Maersk, told CNBC via videoconference @Danish shipping giant Maersk said it had been “largely unaffected” by the Panama Canal delays, although it warned that climate risks to major shipping routes were becoming more prevalent with potentially severe impacts.”
Less rain comes from the increase of SIN, more prayers need to be sent up for healing of the land. People need to turn from their wicked ways, so God can heal the land.
