This montage pretty much proves that you don't need fancy effects or anything like that to impress your audience. Just a simple method like syncing the clips with music can have a huge impact on how your audience view your vid. Great Job rredar. Btw, I fought you on US-West, you were Koji, I was Lucien. Love you man.
Not rlly I don't see much editing at all on RU-vid it's usally just face cam music in background click bait and them playing also a little dead memes here and there so in my opinion this is a average vid but still loved it (not a hate comment)
Wow the editing skill is insane. You have pefect slowdowns and freeze frames. Using the timing to land attacks with the beat. The sudden cuts to emulate intensity. The colour augmentation correlating to the tone of the music and not to mention the amazing clips as well. This was truly amazing.
This and Burn will always remain my favorite montages...Burn was what me got into this channel and Drowning was what inspired me to finally start submitting clips to you...keep up the fucking phenomenal work dude
2:29 sync perfectly, every minute seconds hours you do in this video is really hard working u deserved a great life u had a gift of skilled editing good day to you sir keep going :)
The only reason it syncs is that rather than finding a song that syncs he just lazily slowed and sped up the video to go hand to hand whit the music. It's a nice montage and all but since even the clips aren't his own I think your giving him a bit too much credit for this.
bacon Actually, it is more lazy to find a song that syncs without any velocity or syncing tool. You probably have zero to little experience but using a sync function like velocity in Sony Vegas Pro or twixtor for both After Effects and Vegas Pro takes a lot more time to do. Also, its not about the clips, its mainly focused on the editing cause well, this guy is an editor. Well yeah, the only reason it syncs because of the velocity/twixtor or whatever he used. If he found a song that syncs by itself, without any cuts, that would be the "lazy" that you were referring to. The speed-ups/slow-downs as you called them, are a common thing to do for montages in other games too. There's your "Today I Learned", take this knowledge I have bestowed upon you to give the mans some credit lmao.
bacon i don’t think you get how much work goes into a montage like this. Every clip he gets sent, has to be checked for being good enough. Once he finally has all the clips, he has to sync every clip perfectly with the music, which believe me, is a lot of work. This isn’t ‘laziness’, you’ll get that if you actually try to sync a song of your own in an editing program, so please, don’t say anything when you have no idea what you’re talking about...
your montages are the best and this is not opinion based: you are one of the only who actually uses effects and doesn't just put all clips with a music in the background, you slow down and speed up the video to make it sync with the music and use the clips that go better with it to create even more sync. it's not just putting an effect for the clips' transitionings, this is actually quality right here. well done as always
To be completely honest, I used to only watch these montages in hopes of winning a CC Code. But now I just love watching them so muuuch. I swear rredar will always be 11/10 editor for Brawl. Best of luck : >
Man this edit will forever be possibly the best edit of any game, the simplicity and just layers on layers of b eat sync with simple effects. It looks like nothing but this edit probably took alot of work, I know this is old but rredar ur honestly a goddamn nut at editing. I strive to be on ur level.
