Hey peeps! This song is called Drowning. It is the first of the four new songs I am releasing over the next eight weeks.
The above link is to my BANDCAMP page where you can download this song. I have made the Drowning available as "name your price". I will be doing this from now on with all my music (digitally). It is important to me that my music is available to everyone, even people who cannot afford to buy it.

I read this quote yesterday, "There are some people who leave impressions not so lasting as the imprint of an oar upon the water." ~ Kate Chopin I remembered this video and the oar in the water, and it made me stop and think that the ripple from an oar travels on far longer than the eye can see. Love is like that, rippling outward until it has reached so far and touched so much you can't see it anymore. That kind of love can make a grown man cry. ♥

I could not agree more. This song makes me want to just sit down, sigh and weep silently for all the mistakes and stupid and hurtfull things I have made or said without thinking thoroughly about the consequences. Partly because of the chorus, and partly because it's such a beautiful song. Sarah sings like an angel and is as pretty as a spring flower.

I never comment on RU-vid but I wanted to make an exception to say this is really great. Always scary when you come across someone through a cover and you never know what to expect of their original material, but this is great. On the whole rotting guitar thing, I have been around a lot of string instruments for a lot of years in a lot heavier rain than that and I've never heard of them rotting. I have seen instruments crack from too little humidity.

I love this song! Its beautiful and deep, as are majority of your songs. Ive been listening to your music for about a year now (before Somebody I use to know was on the radio- knew it by heart when it came on lol) As for those of you who would belittle her for her tattoos; GROW UP. She has chosen to express herself in that way. What if her tats have some deep and emotional meaning? Wouldn't you feel like such a shit if you found out she lost someone and that tat was her way of having them near?

It is meant in a metaphorical sense she is personifying love within her song. The water and the boat are just a visual representation, or can have a deeper metaphorical meaning themselves it all depends how you interpret both the song and video.
