People can die from vomit clogging their airways, in fact, it happens to thousands of drug addicts every day. You cannot breathe whilst liquid is in your throat, nose, and lungs. I have never witnessed such idiocy in a human being, as they all at least know that you cannot breathe with mouth and nose blocked.
