It's crazy how these people just get caught because they look suspicious. Just makes you wonder how many are walking through because have a poker face.

It’s pathetic these poor drug mules are probably so poor and get years for smuggling while the real culprits aren’t caught. Also anyone using any white powder drugs needs to stop and just take a few minutes thinking how those drugs ended up in your hands. They might have been in someone’s entire digestive system.

I am a retired ICU/ER nurse. We used to get prisoners claiming to have swallowed balloons. They would get admitted to ICU in case one broke. I’ve seen it happen twice. Both persons almost immediately started seizing then progressed to full cardiac arrest. There’s no way to remove the product from their system. Both died from it. The risk isn’t worth the money.

I remember watching an episode of this show that was epic. The guy was caught with a bunch of heroin. When offered a phone call, he said he didn’t have anyone he wanted to call. “I don’t want my girlfriend or mother to know about this.” The customs agent replied: “By the time you get out of prison, your girlfriend will be a grandmother.”

I wish we could get rid of that irritating repetitive background noise all the time.

Does a "rub down" mean something different in the UK? Here in North America when you want to search somebody it's called a "pat down". No rubbing involved.

I live in AZ & I pass 3 weed stores on my way to my gym everyday where people just go in & buy marijuana at will. It is nuts to see people getting locked up for it in the UK. Since becoming legal here for recreational use, we have had less poisonings from MJ treated with chemicals on the street.

British police are so... CIVIL! I watched the US Customs staff practically drag an Asian girl (who spoke little English) into a back room for taking pictures before clearing customs and I've been interrogated like a criminal about the stamps in my passport on more than one occasion. I get that they have a job to do but no one should be treated like trash. #'murica

I feel kinda bad for the older people caught with cannabis. Places that have legalized have benefited greatly. And that one couple had maybe 1 or 2 pounds? Come on, that's like a hand full of people's monthly smoke. A fine, sure, but don't waste your resources tackling cannabis anymore.

I’m always nervous about traveling when they ask if I packed my bags myself or if everything in them are mine. Of course I packed them, and I believe everything is mine….until I brought it to the airport. But I’m also afraid if I say that, I’d look even more suspicious. But if something ever ended up in my bag, I don’t want to admit guilt before I knew it was there!!!!!!

If he was in a suit, carried a laptop and was constantly talking on a phone nervously she probably wouldn't even look at him. If it comes to questioning? Yes, Im here on a 3hr for a meeting, im flying away at 6. 'Whats your business here?" Well, thats a good question, currently they are backstabbing me and pushing me out of my own company. Of course I'm nervous. And now this? Please, lady, let us just get done with this part, so I can continue with this hell that is my life today. Just by that 3 sentence scene and some cheap props from H&M you make a huge difference in the perception of you, you drop in the damsel in distress factor on the cop and plausibly explain why all your body language is wrong. Will it work? Not every time, but it gives you vastly better odds than the hoody and the suitcase. And its easy, and its cheap, you are putting your life on gamble here, might think for a second and give you better odds. Yeah, low tier smugglers are the sharpest tool, but still can do a lot better.

For smugglers from a 3rd world country - smuggling into the UK is a win-win scenario. If they don't get caught - well - money money money! If they do get caught - life in a UK prison - free room and board, free health care, and a pretty comfortable life for a few years.

Amazes me that people still, think they can get away with flying with drugs in their bodies or in their bags.

Nah, I bet there's been at least one person at this airport in recent times who got right through just like an ordinary innocent passenger, but had drugs hidden on them/got away with drug smuggling, like surely.

Can she use her interrogations as evidence? It's very obvious she has been trained by police force asking "Is this your bag" "Did you pack this yourself? So everything in there is yours?" If a police officer said this it would convict you of possession immediately even if the luggage was a family or friends luggage.

About 8 or 9 years ago, I flew from Singapore to Australia. At the Singapore airport, I purchased a neatly packed, with see though lid, of assorted dried fruits. On arrival, I declared my only "food" package. The officer look at each section, and the dried banana caught his eyes. He cut the cellophane cover and took out a 2"x2" plastic bag. He said that bananas were not allowed. He however, allowed the other 8 or 9 dried fruits. On the other aisle, a passenger with "undeclared" food packages was fined and her good seized.

"So how was your day hubby?" "Oooh hung around for a couple hour waiting for a shifty dego to take a dump, then sifted through his creation with robot hands, to dig out the smack....same old...what's for dinner?"
