What ever company got a hold of it must have assumed that the packet was unusual so they thought the food bank would be good and who ever was meant to secure the package, it would have been difficult to hold back the package without being suspicious. Definitely wasn’t handed out like lollies.
"Drug researcher" what a joke. Even in the US, where Mexico is constantly demonized for drug smuggling, most of the drugs come from China/SEA. This guy is just an incompetent fool making things up to sound like an expert, when everyone already knows that practically all meth is manufactured in SEA. This isn't something that you can use a degree as an appeal to authority for, its just a basic fact of the drug market in NZ. This is the same type of person who believe that drugs are still mostly bought and sold on the street level when its all online now. The average sixteen year old has a better understanding of the drug market - and if these are the fools in charge of policy, no wonder we are the situation we are in. Look in the mirror, establishment.
So are they saying cartels are donating to charity or are customs donating confiscated items? Is it organized crime or bad management is what I'm wondering
Exclusively actually. The idea a significant quantity comes from Mexico is as much of a boomer assumption as thinking that drugs are mostly bought and sold on the street level when its all online now
"better smuggling technology" "disguising drugs as lollies is unique" What kind of experience does this "researcher" have? If you've been around this country and actually looked between the cracks its clear where everything comes from and its not the mexican cartel, we would be more of a hassle than anything for them to smuggle to. Auckland City Mission also needs to take more accountability whether it was intentional or not, this is not okay.
How did it get from customs to the Auckland city mission? I feel it's more likely that customs was incompetent rather than the drug cartel. Maybe they accidentally chucked it in the lost property bin instead of the quarantine bin.
Has someone suggested it came from NZ Customs? Havent heard that one from the various reports. Drug cartels only expect 10-20% of all they send out to actually reach its destination, thats how cheap it is to them and how many tonnes they are flooding the market with.
@@BlankNames111 Fiji is getting decimated by meth. 5 tonnes of Pure discovered in 2 houses recently. 1 tonne has gone missing from police evidence. Fijian police are addicted and dealing. Blood-sharing, injecting blood from someone that just injected a dose, causing massive spike in Aids and Hep. A. Tropical Zombie Ice, its eating Fijis soul. Cartels are dropping tonnes there for distribution to NZ and Oz.
@@throughput6674 Mr Drug supporter, There are lot of things in life which we should stay away and drugs is one of those things. I have seen lives destroyed completely by drugs and heavy drinking. I have seen relatives who were millionaires dying penniless and too early and leaving their families miserable. I am sure you strong enough to say NO to drugs.
@@nickmorss4287holy sugary shenanigans! The sweet police are out, don’t let any kid enough a lolly ever again! Didn’t you know it has no nutritional value! and full of SUGAR! 😂
Tell that to pretty much every food product company on earth... Capitalism doesn't care about destroying human health & life, it only cares about profits, and sugar = addiction = sweet sweet profits, baby!
@@HeartFeltGesture The drug market is no different to any other market. supply and demand. The suppliers only supply based on demand. Your comment is a festival of ignorance. I bet my last buck you are OK with drugs, just not certain types of drugs. which makes you a hypocrite. be interesting to know your view on mandated vacation. were you for or against?
@@throughput6674 You think demand has nothing to do with supply, in the case of an ultra-addictive drug? The cartel drug trade is definitely not "just like any other market" simply because it has supply and demand in common. You seem to be bereft of any morality, probably a drug dealer.
What about the real questions like how long has this been happening under the radar or how many other ways is the drugs getting into our country. Cover up the real questions with talking about people in hospital
No, our corrupt police and justice system are responsible. Too busy looking online for "hate speach" Labour, greens, the paty maori are responsible for their soft on crime. Hopefully national returns to hard prosecution.
