Testing drugstore magnetic lashes with this full application demo and review LOL Well ... OY. That's about all I can say.

They are carried in Sally Beauty stores and I think I saw something recently saying CVS has started carrying them, too. ;)

UPDATE ON DAD (for those who have asked!)
I am picking him up tomorrow from the GA rehab place (finally!). Paperwork has been a nightmare to deal with in getting him transferred to Florida but it's all finally finished and approved! He is so excited, as am I. He will be going into another rehab facility down here until the 27th, at which time he will have finished his IV antibiotics. Then he will be moving into an assisted living facility almost right next door to our house. He still has moments of confusion. He told one of our family friends yesterday he was coming down to Florida to live with me and he was looking forward to helping me with handyman tasks around the house as his way of helping pay me back for all I've done. :) (AWW!) She didn't have the heart to correct him. I have had conversations with him about the Assisted Living Facility where he will be living and he seems to be excited about it, and understands, but I think he forgets from time to time what is going on. For those who have suggested he live with us, I sincerely wish he could live with us but he needs much more care than I am able to provide with a small child of my own to take care of (and one on the way!). I do really love this Assisted Living facility we found for him and know he will be well taken care of there. Each time I've been there, it's been a great experience and the residents are lovingly taken care of. At any rate, it will be a LONG day for Dad and I tomorrow but we will all be happy when he is finally back home with us for good. :)

You have to set the upper lashes on your lash them go in with the lowers. You can't go in with the lower lashes first cuz they won't sit on your lashes. Try doing it the other way with setting your upper lash first

Judy Ito Exactly! Also there are RU-vidrs who have cut the bottom into thirds and it seems to work so much better! I have these but haven't tried cutting them yet. It is still difficult even when placing the top on first.

Maybe it works for some people. Tati did a similar video putting the upper lashes on first about a gazillion times, and couldn't get it to work either. It's a good video, but can't speak from personal experience.

I've never been good with glue so when these came out i tried them immediately and after practice and watching tutorials, i LOVE them! i can put them in about 2 minutes and they look great. I use the first ones you tried out, and yeah getting them on as the full lash is near impossible to get near your lashline, so what i did what cut them in half so that you put on the outer half first then the inner half last. You also do need a coat of mascara so that they have a base to hold on to , and i curl my natural lashes before so that they have a little lift to them. Once the mascara is dry i place the top half of the lash as close as i can to my lashline just like you would with regular falsies (oh also I apply these with non magnetic tweezers for most precise application). Once I have the top outer lash where i want, i grab the lower outer half with my tweezers and place them under yy lashline while looking down and they clip right very close to my natural lash and look so natural and great! do the same with the inner half and youre set! Hopefully this helps someone :) xoxo

They work really well, cut them in half and then put them in sections, see that 40 sec video that shows you.

Strictly On Vacation she got them pretty well eventually. Safiya used the more expensive version and struggled really bad at first but finally got the hang of it so maybe just practice makes perfect!🤷🏻‍♀️

Marilyn Alvarez exactly I searched for plastic tweezers in all of the box stores. No one sells 100% plastic tweezers, all of them have metal embedded at least the end of lash holder. It messed me up every time.

I heard you should put the top lash first on top of your lashes and open your eye as wide as you can than put the lower lash on it helps a lot also you can cut the whole lash in half if you need to have a better curve because Unfortunatly theyre not bendable enough Zabrena please retry the lashes and show us, i only trust your review

Thanks for the fun review. I'm glad you're getting things sorted out with your dad. It's so challenging when they start to get confused but the assisted living facilities are great for letting them feel independent while still being safe

I bought these last week from cvs! I absolutely love them! I use the accent ones though. I also use my plastic tweezers to assist with getting them close to the Lash bed.

Jenn I like the one two lash demi. Curl lashes add mascara add top lash lightly add pressure to the top lash while you apply the bottom. Tada lashes!

If you leave the top lash full, you can cut the bottom one into three sections. Then put the sections on front, back, and center. It makes it so easy! You can get each end stuck down no problem! Also make sure to have mascara on, it gives the magnets something to stick to! Please try a re-do!

I hated them but then i cut the full strip in half and now i love them. Saw another youtuber do it. Awesome lashes and they get super close to the lash line.

I found for me, cutting the full strips in half made them so much easier to apply. After that, I follow a similar method you tried where you start with the lower, hold in place, then put the top on. However, I get the bottom close to my lashes, close my eye and adjust them, then put the top on while my eye is still closed. I found that doing so gets them right against the lash roots for a beautiful end result. Just repeat with both halves and your other eye and your set! I found they don't budge as long as you have a good coat of mascara on at the roots. I love them because there's no need for glue and they don't harm your eyelashes! Excellent option for people who are allergic to adhesives. Good luck!

SO HAPPY YOUR DAD IS COMING “HOME”!!!! That is fantastic news! Don’t be afraid to ask questions or demand explanations (nicely), as to what they are doing with him in both facilities. Make sure you have a copy of each facilities patient rights and core missions so you can refer back to them as you will be his biggest advocate of his rights. Lastly, remember you ALWAYS have the right to have time with the hospitalist or his doctor, you do not have to get info only from a member of support staff!! (I’m a patient advocate so this is my daily life!) Praying for safe travels and easy transitions for your dad! 😘

The top lash is suppose to go on first. It may help to use one of those plastic false eyelash tweezers to place them.

I LOVE the magnetic accent lashes! They're so easy to put on. I set the top one on my lashes, then bring the bottom up to meet. Takes some practice, but once you get the hang of it they're great!

I'm thrilled to hear about your Dad! I will continue to keep you all in my prayers. I've thanked God for his help and guidance this far and also reminded him that we will always need and want him with us. I'm not sure about these lashes. I love the concept but they need a bit of tweaking. Practice makes progress keep trying them. I've seen people apply the top lash then line the bottom lash and it seemed to work a little easier. I love these because I can't deal with the glue need for regular strip lashes. I’m currently wearing the Accents 001 because they're a bit easier to put on. I put the top lash on 1st & then come straight up from next to my eye to get the bottom one on without hitting my eye. It took me a bit of practice to get it down but now it only takes a couple tries to get it close to the lash line so I can wear them all day. For the full strips I could only find the Doubles 110 but I'm going to cut the bottom lash in half or in 3rds so I can control the magnet positioning better for each section. The Wispies look amazing! I'm definitely going to look for those to give them a try! Good luck with your future attempts!!! Love your videos and honest reviews!! xoxo

I saw a video of someone cutting the lower band into pieces. I still feel the edges never look fully ok... But you can try looking for that tip video. For me, I only wore falsies for my wedding and cause they put them on. I just stick to mascara, thought I admit the lashes do make most makeup looks prettier and sometimes even change it all.

What are eyeshadowpalette are you wearing on your eyes? Also, so happy things got worked out finally for your dad. Don't feel bad about having to transfer him to assisted living. There are many very good places, and you will be able to see him everyday to make sure he is getting caring, appropriate care.

I am still gonna try them...I’ve never worn falsies (or eyeliner), bc my eye allergies r so bad...& I’ve always wanted to wear the look of false lashes. I think it’s worth a try, now that I don’t have to shell out 65$ for the high end pairs. How much did the Ardell brand cost ?

I use these everyday. U have to lay the top ones on first and then bring the bottom up to meet the top ones that are already in place. It is easier to start with the accent kind until u get use to them. I did have to take some makeup remover to get the glue off so that they do not stick to your fingers. I also trimmed just a tad so they blended with my lashes. It u need to readjust them just wiggle them and slide them down a little at a time

Hi Zabrena...so glad to hear the good news about your dad's moving to Florida near you and I know it takes a lot worry off of you.. because you have to also think of yourself and your new little daughter and your small son and of course your hubby...plus your work and videos that I appreciate and look forward too!!! I had high expectations on these magnetic eyelashes since I can’t use any type of glue because of my sensitive eyes 😔 But it seems so difficult to use so I’ll continue using mascara and my natural lashes .. thank you for your honest reviews. 😘

I tried both the Ardell accents and the full lash. I could never get the full lash to work, it was too long for my eye width, and I thought it just looked silly, and it felt heavy. But I did manage to get the accents to work. My secret to it was putting the top lash on first - slighty on top of my skin so that the skin was holding them steady a bit and then going underneath with the bottom lash. I put that as close to the lash line as possible and then slid the top lash into place so that they connect. I wound up cutting my full lash to make another accent, and it works great. I also tried getting a magnetic lash applicator from amazon - didn't work the magnets just stuck to the applicator.

I actually love these! I cut the last magnet on the full strip and the look and apply a lot better. It also helps if you have mascara on.

Hello. I just bought these . Had trouble putting them on myself. Do you think I can buy the magnetic eyeliner and make it work with them. I was trying to avoid using the magnetic eyeliner with the fear I may get part of the small particles of the magnetic material in my eye when taking the liner off. Appreciate a response. Thanks

Hi Zabrena! I have the double magnetic lashes from Ardell, and you can make them work (without hurting your eyes)! I cut my bottom lashes into 3 parts, and when I put them on, I hold the top lash in place while I carefully put the bottom lash pieces in place with a tweezer. Sounds complicated, but actually it takes 2 mins, and there are no gaps between the fake and the real lash line. Don't give up easily, this is a good product!

I actually found the accents way easier to apply than the regular false kind, was super excited when they came out since I always struggled with applying false lashes but loved them. These were still challenging for me but not as bad. I think I did lay the top on first! I found out about them from a make up professional that I went to for make up lessons a couple times she was on the news saying they worked, and I trusted her and was excited to try them out.

I've watched videos of these lashes before and so many people hurt their eyes with them. while the concept is good, they're dangerous. I think you're supposed to lay the top lash on the top lashes, then bring them bottom ones to meet them.

I totally had the same experience and don’t know how people get them to work. Another issue is that you can’t cut them down to fit your eye shape. I bought 4 different styles and may just keep them to glue on

I haven't had any luck either. I returned mine and when I keep seeing them at ultra they are the only lashes that are stocked completely. If you have barely there lashes and is the main reason for lashes, this definitely doesn't work. I haven't tried the accents but they do not look that great either. Thank you for your review! I think you would have success with creating the magnetic method to work successfully 😁❤️

I cut the lash band and apply a generous application of mascara. Then at the end, I put the top lash on first and put the bottom on next, they just click on and it's amazing, and I couldn't ask for more better control😁💄💋

I was so excited to try these ardell lashes too as they were so much cheaper than OneTwoLash. I was also so upset and disappointed. Its too abrupt on the edges and feels too thick on my lash. I also didnt like that the magnets dont face eachother!

I’m going to have to get a pair to try. I have yet to find a lash glue I can tolerate (I’ve ordered everything). The ones I’ve seen so far with other brands, they put the top lash on first, then lined up the bottom.

Hi Zebrena , about the magnetic lashes I felt wary I've to agree with you glue and normal comfy fakes eyelashes since I've found on Wish.com so many ordered . It's easier to put the top lash first because it will sit on top of your natural lashes and then the bottom just sticks to the top. I've found the half lashes work so much better than the full strips though. Maybe try trimming them in half or at least a 3rd off?

You're supposed to start with the top. I've found that you have to set them in a curve for a long time before you apply them the first time. It really helps.

I struggled so much as well!!!!! And I wear contacts! It was a nightmare, that I ended up returning them. They are a big fail, and I was so so so excited to get rid of the glue and how annoying is to clean it up from The lashes after every use!

When my grandfather was in the assisted living and later nursing hone, we put a basket of candy in his room. Just the fun size but it brought people in to visit him. Plus the nurses and orderly were in and out so much more at night.

I think part of whether these will work for a person is how your lash line and lashes are already. I bought and tried them for about 30 minutes and I cut the bottom into 3 sections as per some other videos on how to make these work. I STILL couldn't get them to work. The only thing I didn't have is plastic tweezers. Using one's fingers alone didn't work for me. So the last try I'll make is with plastic tweezers, which I will need to buy. I wish so so so much they would work for me but so far, even cut into pieces, with my short stubby lashed and sort of uneven lash line, they don't work.

The problem with these lashes is that they have no bend to them. Even when "well placed" they don't conform to the eye shape. I think the one upside to these lashes is that they make gluing lashes seem not so difficult.

You have to put the upper on first then the lower. They work great! But you just gotta do it right.

Did you try having your eyes open, starting with the top half and bringing the bottom half to the top...this way you aren't worried about poking your eye out, and the bottom half will line up with the top magnets.

I love these! You have to put the upper lash on first and chop the bottom one up. It makes it so much easier. I enjoyed your video though!

I've never seen someone try to put them on bottom first. I've always seen where they place the top lash first, and then the bottom. Ardell's own video shows this method. I tried the lashes from One Two Cosmetics, and they took forever to get them on properly, but once I did, I still didn't care for them because my own lashes don't curl, and this made the magnetics stick out weird.

I find that adding a coat of mascara to the upper lashes helps to hold the top one in place. Love these not using glue again

I tried and tried and tried these and for the amount of time it takes, I'm not sure the learning curve is worth it. I didn't find them any more comfortable on than with traditional glue. They also didn't seem as secure. Also I need to trim them, but the magnets are on the very outside edges. Accents look weird on me so those are out. Sigh. I was really looking forward to having these on the ready for a quick after work pick me up when I had plans.
