I totally agree. A lot of the times with other RU-vidrs whenever they talk about drugstore products I feel like they are seriously biased toward them, if that makes sense. I always feel like Kathleen actually loves the products she shows and doesn't only show them to be diverse.

+Bekah W Almay isn't. Maybelline or NYC are now cruelty free as well but some don't agree since testing on animals may still occur if its absolutely necessary (providing products to other countries like china who require testing)

I love all your hauls but I absolutely LOVE when it's drugstore for broke college chicks like me, wet n' wild & nyx are my ride or die makeup products, so THANK YOU for this! Essence has some bad products, but a loooot of products are bomb, they are super affordable so you really can't go wrong :D I've tried a lot of their products, but my drugstore doesn't have their full range so I'm not completely sure about all products. They do have good nail polishes, lip liners, eye pencils and compact setting powders. Their lipstics vary, depending on the color and the line. Some of them are great and pigmented but some of them can look like a sheer balm. You really have to swatch them to see. Also, their singular eyeshadows are pretty good, but I tried just the shimmery ones, I can't say anything about the matt ones. I didn't know about the highlighter Katheen mentioned, but I'll try it for sure. If you have doubts, just try to find reviewers that have skin similar like yours and when you feel like you are well informed, go and buy something, but I hope I helped a little bit. Oh, and also, Essence is cruelty free, so that's a plus! :D

Before the dewy drops elf had something called a shimmering facial whip. It was basically the same thing but I think they discontinued it. When I was younger because it said facial I put it all over my face until I recently realized it was just a liquid highlight. Glowing to the gods!! Love ya Kathleen

Hey everyone! Just a quick heads up on the Essence highlighter: it is really beautiful, I bought it after I saw Kathleen talk about it BUT in real life it is definitely darker than it seems in this video, maybe because of the lights she's using. So it is a beautiful highlighter but when you first look at it it seems way too dark to be a highlighter, but if you use just a small amount on your pale skin or if you have a little bit darker skin then it's absolutely worth it! :)

Thank you so much for regularly posting drugstore hauls/reviews. You have no idea how much this helps people trying to save a few bucks! Also, I tried that Almay CC cream for about a few months but I just couldn't get on board with it, probably because it made my already oily skin that much worse. My tried and true CC cream with SPF is Smashbox Camera Ready CC cream - definitely a bit of a splurge compared to the Almay cream but it's sooo amazing.

omg finally someone talks about the Nyx Ultimate Shadow Palettes in Warm Neutrals! I fell in love with it. yes the shimmery eyeshados do not stand out but overall the palette is amazing I carry it everywhere I go :)

Hey Kathleen, with the WnW eyeshadow primer, if you give it a few minutes to set, it will dry down and it won't feel tacky anymore and then you can easily blend eyeshadows over it!

you're right about the contour/highlight stick! the highlight side sets weirdly and since i only use the contour, the highlight ends up coming through because the stick is worn down. works great if you just use the brush or sponge you were going to use to blend directly on the stick, that way there's no chance of smudging everything around :D
