Skincare is harder since we all have different complexion and needs. If you want a basic kit for normal-ish skin, I recommend CeraVe Hydrating Lotion Cleanser and Clinique Dramatically Different moisturizer (not drug store, but $25 isn't much and lasts 3 months). I like NYX or L'Oreal Micellar Water for eye make-up remover. Three basics that are a good start! Good luck!

Me watching this instead of watching Modern Family.....While simultaneously counting the amount of things in this video I’ve purchased on Taylor’s recommendation- Real talk though, this is genuinely the only channel I feel safe taking recommendations from. My entire skincare routine is based around this channel. As is most of my everyday makeup. I have oily, acne prone skin and the L’Oreal Infallible looks great on my skin! It’s not super full coverage, but it covers my acne enough to where I’m comfortable wearing it on a daily basis, and it doesn’t get super oily and break down a ton like a lot of foundations do. The Pacifica Alight looked straight up greasy on my skin. I tried it a few different ways, but it just looked like 💩 no matter what I mixed it with or how I tried it, but it looks sooo good on your skin, Taylor! I’ve got my fingers crossed that they’ll come out with a matte foundation one day because I loved the coverage.

That Lash Princess mascara wand is also great for those of us with disabilities. It's so much easier to grasp. I have muscle issues in both arms. I've had surgery on my wrist and elbow, but I still occasionally poke myself in the eye with the wand sometimes.

The elf camo concealer and the L’Oréal infallible full wear concealer are my new drugstore faves. I love the the makeup revolution concealer for the lighter makeup days. No need to spend $20+ on concealer anymore, the drugstore is killin it 💯
You should try the $2 Elf clear gloss! It’s literally my favorite! It’s not sticky at all but still feels nice and thick and moisturizing and looks really nice!
The Catrice one minute face perfector is an AMAZING primer. Goodbye Pores and the Freshen Up are also good ones and very affordable. Believe foundation I’d say is a great affordable option for all skin types too- the whole line is pretty good aside from the palettes not having enough mattes.
Love this! I think you should keep doing these videos too! Very helpful! I’m all over the board with makeup and skin care, too. I get some things from Walmart and others from Sephora. It’s always nice to have options!

So does mine, lol. Was just at the drug store yesterday before the video was loaded. I could have used some of this info. Because my mind goes blank I couldn't remember which brand sold the shadow sticks. 😠 Then to see her mention a product I did pick up but put back down (the eyeshadows in the cases) because I wasn't sure if they were good. Ugh!! Now I've got to get a piece of paper, pen and watch a few of her videos again so the next time I'm in the store I won't look so dazed and confused, lol...
I love all these drugstore starter kit videos, just because I mainly buy drugstore and I love seeing Taylor's favorite drugstore stuff. I think I've tried most of her recommendations from these videos and my basic makeup kit (which isn't technically "basic" anymore) is full of stuff she's recommended. And yet, somehow, I've yet to try the Physician's Formula eyeliner.

I agree with so, so many of your recommendations! The only one that surprises me is the Pacifica foundation! After seeing your glowing recommendation (& others), I picked it up but I just can’t get it to look right on my skin! I don’t know if I’m just not getting the right product combo or what but it is surprising because so, so many recommendations work so well so I am not complaining! I am super excited to hear that they have a new waterproof version of my HG Physicians Formula Eye Booster so I actually paused the video to add to my online order I was working on & then came back to finish! I am heading to Disney in 40 days & will definitely be needing waterproof/sweatproof everything!

This came at such a good time! I'm trying to buy less expensive products. Aside from foundation, I no longer see the point in dishing out so much money for all other makeup products, especially when the drugstore has some good options. If it were up to me, i wouldn't even bother with expensive foundations either but I've found that drugstore foundations aren't yellow enough for my weird skin tone. They all tend to look pink, orange or grey which sucks because high end foundations ain't cheap 💔 Anyways, thanks so much for this! It'll be hella helpful! 💖
I've been using ELF's Glow+ Dewy setting spray. (It has coconut oil which does break some ppl out) But my skin loves it. I spray it on over my night cream right before I go to sleep.
Essence’s Lash Princess now comes in waterproof! I have watery eyes that tear up out of nowhere during the day so I always need waterproof and the essence one is fantastic!

The lightest 2 shades of the elf 16 hour camo concealer are AMAZING as foundation mixers! I always use them when I know a shade is too dark or if it oxidizes. Plus, they add a bit of coverage too. And because they're on the matte side, they can tone down an overly dewy foundation.

I LOVE the CCD! I mix it with my moisturizer and it wears amazingly well! I'm one of those that foundation normally sweats off fairly quick. The CCD's last all day and looks amazing!
Thanks for the video! I have often felt primers are definitely hit or miss. Another good drugstore product is the cerave ultra-light moisturizing lotion. I find this blurs my pores...sets quickly,moisturizes(I add more spf on top), and had a little spf. Overall I've loved it over the past year.

I love these videos, I got that j. Cat powder last month on your recommendation and I absolutely love it. I set my eyeshadow primer with it, it covers my capillaries and makes my eyeshadow go on smoothly and last all day without creasing even in this heat, and I have oily lids. I recently picked up the no 7 drops and I thought they’d be super sheer and not cover, but they have super good coverage. I’ve needed all the coverage I can get lately and they give me that. Someone even complimented on my complexion when I had it on. It doesn’t look cakey, I really enjoy them. : )
I'm finally buying Wet n Wild Caught you Bare-Naked and Maybelline Driver with my groceries this week (takes a while with our baby, diapers are expensive 😅)! So excited! I have yet to not like something you've recommended. Thank you! 😊
Omg thank you for these recommendations! I’ve been using Covergirl “outlast” for years, and it seems the newer version of this foundation does not work on my skin when I’m my natural paleness (it has an orange hue, and barely covers any imperfections) so I’ve been on the lookout for other foundations to try, so thank you for some ideas that won’t break the bank!🙌🏼
Yes it is! I am super oily all over my face but especially my t zone. I also work in a cafe in the kitchen. Around grease and heat all day and this foundation stays put like no other I have. But it isn't cruelty free tho. And for that I will not be repurchasing sadly:( hope they go cruelty free soon!
Maybe I’ll try it next also want to try urban cover by maybelline I have combo skin but double wear is way too heavy and full coverage for myself personally so I’ll have to see !

As a stay at home mom I’d say ulta isn’t quite as easy as a drugstore because there’s not a grocery cart to put my kids in and the stores are not exactly stroller friendly or kid friendly at all. But there are lots of affordable options at ulta. I’m going to try the L’Oréal concealer soon. I have the foundation and love it.

I stand by your suggestion about the Maybelline Superstay. I have a few and love them. My favourite is the really bright vibrant pink, it lasts all day and is perfect for summer. :)
I started using the ceraVe moisturizing cleanser because of you and my skin is becoming beautiful (still getting some zits but I feel like that’ll never stop) my skin is look 10x better in most areas !!! I haven’t worn face make up in WEEKS and I’ve never been comfortable enough to do that!! Thanks ❤️
