I can’t use it! It never worked on my skin, but I have normal/drier in the winter. But I bet for oily skin it must work well! I ended up giving it to my sister who has oily skin and she loved it.
Hydrating setting sprays are terrific for us very oldies! Thank you ever so much. Here’s a tip for those with sparse brows, spray setting spray on an angled brush, dip in shadow that matches your brows and fill in your brows…so so easy…abundant blessings ♥️
Great tip! I'm currently juggling an eyebrow pencil, a three-point felt tip-type eyebrow pen and a brow pomade, and not happy with any one of them or any combo of them! Your idea sounds so simple, I could probably make it work! Thanks!
Milani Make It Last, the original or the Matte is hands down the best at the drugstore! It has a light pleasant scent and feels so nice on the face. Please try it!
I tried spraying my brush and it worked so well for me! My sister and I are looking for more affordable options thanks for taking the stress out of our process so we can keep makeup fun!!!
I use Elf Makeup Mist & Set. its probably their original setting spray. I really like it. It keeps my makeup in place all day and I am not oily looking at the end of the day.
I was having to use Urban Decay's All Nighter Spray because nothing else would keep my face in place, but recently started experimenting with Milani's Dewy Setting Spray, and so far it is holding up just as much as Urban Decay but at a quarter of the price.
I'm so excited that you recommended the Ulta setting spray since it is alcohol and witch hazel free. Both of those ingredients really negatively affect my skin. I've been using the Catrice Illuminating setting spray for several years.... but was looking for another option! I like the fact that I can order the Ulta spray online and pick it up from the store!!
My current fave is the Essence fix and last 18hr makeup fixing spray. Matte finish and waterproof. I’ve had my makeup not move even when sweating profusely while turning the manure pile in summer. I do have dry, more mature skin for reference. Sometimes, I decide to be extra while doing farm work 😅
zabrena have you ever tried using setting spray before makeup, like as primer? it works so well!! i learned that from robert welsh and it makes so much sense, because its your oils breaking down the makeup, and they come from beneath it!! best tip i learned, i use it everytine i do my makeup and it doesn't move! even under a mask
I appreciate this video. I would like a half and half comparison, comparing each one to UD All Nighter (which is my holy grail). Maybe I’ll have to take on that challenge myself. 😊
Blessings to you too sweet lady. ! Thank you video. I’m running to the store to get some of them. I have such a challenge with my foundation staying on all day. It doesn’t matter which one it is. Much Love 💕 to you. God bless you for being a light in this dark world.
@@aavv1818 I have oily skin and I enjoy the make it last "matte" or "original " setting spray. One in a black bottle, the other in clear and see through bottle. 🙂 Let me know if you try it!
I just found your channel, it was a RU-vid suggestion :) I’m new to setting sprays, because honestly My Makeup stays all day without fading. I couldn’t even tell you how to properly use them :) I feel that the key to your makeup staying all day is a great foundation. I do not use an eye primer either. I put My Foundation on after My Moisturizer and I have no issue with it staying. I honestly see no difference when I add primer. I use a foundation I found on Amazon suggested by another RU-vidr, I use Phoera 102. It’s an amazing foundation. You get 2 bottles for $15. You can get one color or you can mix it up and get two different shades. Before that I used Revlon Colorstay for years and I’ve used Elf, but I find I like the Phoera best.
GIRL, I'm waiting on you to hit 1 million subscribers!! You are so right about store brand's own makeup collection because the Sephora Collection also has a lot of hidden gems within their collection.. As an oily girl, I appreciate you, Zabrena!😊❤
That Believe Beauty setting spray is my all-time fave. The elf sprays are good but, like you said, the misters get clogged. So I just save the bottle from the Believe brand and pour the elf spray into it, of course marking which is which. Then it sprays just as nicely as the Believe. That mister is incredibly fine and beautiful. Thank you for this video - it's nice to have options if I'm unable to get my favorites!!
Absolutely Awesome. Just what I needed. I'm out and I keep getting skincare instead because my skin is painfully dry. 🤦🏽 I am always forgetting how helpful these can be to deal with that. Joy to you too! 🌟🎉🌟
So many contain aloe, I’m allergic! I stick with the Milani Make It Last Original because it doesn’t have aloe in it. Works well enough for me but I’d love to find another one to try
A good one for dry skin is the L’Oréal shake and glow. Higher end is the tatcha spray and a dupe for that is the cover FX dewy spray (not the illuminating one, that one has glitter!). Hope this help others that watches all of Zabrenas videos that have a completely different skin type than her! 😂
@@joansmith6844 - Which one was the travel yay ha? 🤣 I’m combination skin and the Tatcha setting spray gives me a strange, gummy (for lack of a better word?) texture and the foundation is gone in less than 2 hours. I now use it instead of skin prep before foundation. ❤️
Sabre a you have changed my life!!!! I’ve loved all your suggestions and tutorials!!!! I’ve saved so much money and I’m happier with my skincare and makeup! 💕. I started a new job today and will be working in the office 3 days a week and 2 at home. I haven’t worked in an office since 2/2020 when our office closed for Covid. I felt so pretty and confident all day thanks to you!!!! I used the 16 hour elf setting spray in between each application- moisturizer, primer, foundation, powders and a final spray when it was all done. None of my face makeup moved and looked fresh until later in the evening!!!!!!!! What eyelid primer do you recommend? I realize I have oily eyelids!!! Lol. Thanks for all you do!!!💕💕💕
I have both Charlotte tilbury setting spray and Milani charcoal setting spray. And may I say I only reach for my CT one if I ran out of Milani. Yes its that good ❤️
My fave is from a Canadian drugstore brand called Anabelle. Finest mist and long lasting effect. Also makes the powdery look disappear. A gem at a cheap price.
ULTA is a FABULOUS brand all around, and especially their setting sprays! I use the purple one and the SPF 50 ones, they’re my favorite setting sprays ever!!! Thank you for another wonderful and helpful video Zabrena, beautiful background and gorgeous you!!!
I haven't used a setting spray but have been interested in trying one. I will probably try the e.l.f. spray - love their products and prices! Thanks for the comparisons and info! You look gorgeous, as always, Zabrena. I love your eye look!
Try the Joah Set-Fection Transfer Proof setting spray - it is incredible!! I am using the Charlotte Tillbury one now and think I'll try the Ulta brand one now. Thanks!!
From essence, catrice, Maybelline, L'Oréal,wet n wild , nyx which setting sprays would you recommend. These are the most affordable and accessible brands in Greece
Brilliant way to test them -- thanks so much! The ColorPop Pretty Fresh setting spray is my favorite. The super fine mister is PERFECT, and the light, heavenly scent dissipates right away.
Video Request: That eyeshadow makes your blue eyes pop more than any eyeshadow look Ive ever seen you in over the years. Please do a tutorial & explanation of the color theory of why it works & then do some similar looks for green, brown, hazel eyes too please with some quality, affordable eyeshadow & eyeliner recommendations please. God bless.
Thank you! Are you talking about the speaking portion of this video? I only ask because there were so many makeup looks shown in this video LOL :) Thank you for the request!
Going to try the Pacifica. Been using Joah, and that works well, but want something a little more hydrating. Thanks for the tips and warm fuzzies back at ya baby girl !
Hi, Zabrena!! You look absolutely gorgeous!! Your eye makeup is so beautiful!! I like the Milani Matte setting spray and the Elf ones, that you mentioned. God bless you and your family!! ❤️
Have y’all tried the DG Bath & Body Works dupes?? They have the entire line… hand soap, lotions, butters , scrubs-all if it!!! I’ve tried the ‘Warm Vanilla Sugar’ dupe line…. Amazing!!! The hand soap isn’t as foamy but the scent is spot on!!! It’s called ‘Sugar Dream’ there’s a strawberry line that smells wonderful too!! Give them a try if you haven’t!!!♥️♥️💋💋
I've really enjoyed The Flower Beauty one. The one from shop miss a works well but it does have a strong fragrance. I don't mind it especially at that price point. I have oily skin
I love the wear-tests! That is so helpful! So TYSM ♡ I would also love to see a transfer-test too because that is 1 major issue I am trying to help with my setting spray. In case I scratch my nose or touch my face - I don't want my makeup to come off. I've been using the Tarte Stay Spray because I heard this is the best setting spray for that. Would love to see even more of these types of videos and what you think of that spray in particular in this style video 🙏
Essance you better work" is a favorite of mine. I've gone through many bottles of it and I wish they sold a bigger size lol I like to spray a powder puff and lightly pat my face I feel I blurs every and really locks in the setting spray on to makeup
I got so annoyed with the green elf spray, I tossed it. Guess I should have read the directions! 🤣 I recently found the Essence You Better Work spray. It's very good!
Morphe continuous setting mist and milani make it last setting spray are my favorites. I have to say I do enjoy the morphe one more because the milani one keeps getting clogged on me and coming out in big spots on my face unfortunately. The morphe one is just so fine that I find myself not using the milani one much anymore because of the harsh mist
I wasn't that impressed with hourglass so I'll try the elfs sprays. I like KVD one too although it has fragrance which I don't mind. I am looking for one that will minimise menopausal sweats 🙄 I don't mind the price tag if it works
Read my mind ! I was going to suggest a setting spray video. You beat me to it. Thank you for this fantastic and informative video. Now how about one of the makeup you most love (mascara) and hate (blush). Thanks!!!
Setting spray always destroys my makeup. I will spray it down and then next thing I know it's patching up and if I even think about touching my face the foundation lifts right off my skin. Any pointers? I'm 36 with combo skin, dehydrated, oily in the t-zone and cheeks with seborrheic dermatitis around the nose, forehead, and chin. I've started to notice some lines and pore enlargement in the typical areas that I like to conceal just a little bit.
Do you find that it leaves big drops of spray on your face? That’s my issue with a lot of setting sprays. Morphe continuous setting mist is the only one I’ve used that doesn’t do that. It comes out super fine
They're both great! The difference for me is the hassle with the mister; the green one gets clogged more often than not, the blue one does not! Formulas are equally great!
I really like that green elf one but I have to disagree with you on the scent. I find it veryyyy overwhelming and lingering. This has a strong scent of cucumber mixed with baby powder? Something like that lol but there’s definitely a scent
Hey Zabrena! I was just starting on my own setting spray safari, so I really appreciate this video! Fortunately, just one of the ones you tried has no alcohol or witch hazel: Ulta! I'm also going to be looking at their setting powder, so it's nice to have more than one reason to go into the store - I don't do online shopping. Ever! So thanks for your input! I've been using plain Rosewater spray, bc I don't mind if it lands on my hair, clothes, jewelry or vanity counter, and it's hydrating as all get out. And it smells so wonderful and doesn't irritate or kick up my rosacea. But it takes quite awhile to set, so I'm going after that Ulta! Thanks for your energy and focus!
