20:35 You were so close to embracing the coolest theme for Forsaken druids. Druids of Decay, where all their forms are mushroom themed because that's a natural force in the world.
@@wraithflaire1639 How come? Don't like the idea of all classes being available to all races? I think decay as a theme for undead works very well as it's a very important part of nature, if things didn't decay, it'd be pretty bad :P
Missed opportunity to model the Pandaren forms off of the August Celestials. Chi-Ji, the Red Crane (travel form), Niuzao, the Black Ox (bear form), Xuen, the White Tiger (cat form), and Yu'lon, the Jade Serpent (flight form). C'mon Tali, that was an easy win. How'd ya miss that!?
Really, I think Void Elves and Blood Elves forms should mirror each other. Blood Elves have sun-based forms and Void Elves have more moon or void-based forms.
Feels weird applying actual humanoids as forms for a class that is all about nature. Orc shapeshifting to arakkoa is like suggesting Night Elves shapeshifting to Tauren.
ye4ah, half of these are terrible suggestions, especially the ogre one haha xD. Like why would a belf druid turn into a phoenix and not a dragonhawk???
I would love the idea of Druids coming about the same way Blood Elf Paladins did; some greater entity (Cenarius) deciding "I am not abandoning them. I am going to save them". That was one of my favorite parts of the Blood Knight questline; finding out that the Naaru was not "trapped"; it was trying to purge and clean them. I could see Cenarius pulling for that. Yeah, the Undead or Goblins or even Dwarves and Gnomes are probably antithetical to the Druidic ways, but what better reason than for Cenarius to decide "No, I am not turning my back on them".
For goblin as druid, we may have a hint in Dragonflight : in Valdrakken we have a female goblin from Venture Co. Who have the duty to make a report about ressources in Dragon isles but she was moved by the sights that she's not want Goblins destroy this nature. Maybe she will be the first druid and will start a ecology market in WoW.
Sorry but as much as I love the kul tiran and zandalari druids being different things, I do love the whole "how can we make a bear into this humanoid race?" thing going on with traditional druids, and I think goblins are perfect for that. You give them varying shades of green or browny-green fur, with colourful spiky hairdos and coiffed styles, they of course sport those big old goblin ears, and their snouts take on a slightly more goblinesque shape as well, smoother and more sharklike, and they all sport big pointy goblin grins. And then on top of that, you deck them out in the scrap armour style they love, I feel like in the animal forms they'd be real dirty fighters, equipping their animal forms with extra stuff to put the hurt on their enemies harder. Bear would have big leather bracers with heavy metal strips like splintmail for blocking, and maybe some on the hind legs with kneepads. The cat could be bandaged up past the elbow and fitted with metal-clawed gauntlets to add that extra hurt over their natural claws, and metal rings outfitted with hooked spikes to turn their tail into a horrible flail type thing. Travel/flight forms *obviously* have a set of driving goggles and a scarf. Aquatic form's an alligator, with scuba goggles and more scrap armour round the wrists and on it's back. And moonkin's more crowlike, with all sorts of good luck charms dangling off the patchwork bits of scrap armour it's wearing, this moonkin stuff's screwy, ya know? Goblin's gotta lean on ol' lady luck to make this kooky caw caw stuff go right.
@@tnecniw Totally yeah, I could see the travel forms maybe having the classic goblin rockets strapped to them, for "extra speed" and perhaps cat and bear having vials of anticoagulants to improve their bleeds. I feel forsaken druids would lean more heavily into the natural rot and decay of life and not lean so heavily on their alchemical side.
I like to imagine the animal forms that the Draenei would adopt as ghostly forms of the extinct animals of Argus. Draenei druids would be preservers of the spirits of the fauna and flora of Argus.
Since we're likely going back to Argus in 10.1.7 for the Draenei/Man'ari questline: I want to see them pop to Eredath at some point and take some of the native species back with them too. Talbuk, Marsuul, Mana Ray, Panthara. And let them loose in the Azuremyst Isles so the populations can grow and it can become like a mini-Argus! I really hope they invite the Krokul back with them too.
Side note for the Vulpera: Hyaenas are not dogs, they aren't even canines. They're actually more closely related to cats, which works better for the cat form, but Hyaenidae is its own family.. ok carry on.
i just want a bunch of foxy forms. fox cat. fox bear. hell for the boomkin do something similar to the zandalari, take the arrokoa rigging and have the model be based on the slyvern.
Yeah mate, let me just hop off my dimension travelling dragon I got from killing a world ending dragon with all my blue friends to explain how those furry people aren't actually related to dogs :)
I could see hyaena for feral vulpera, with big fox ears added. What other predators exist in their home zone? The scaled lizard/carapace things in the zone could be their bear form.
For Orcs I'd prefer to keep things still pretty beasty: Guardian: Clefthoof Feral: Wolf Balance: Arrokoa Air-Travel: Kaliri Ground-Travel: Another Wolf? Water-Travel: Fungal Orca (get it cause ORCa?)
still: Arrakoa are like turning into a pandaran for your bear form. They're made clearly distinct from the "wild things" by the lore. I can actually see some sort of spore themed creature work as their balance form. Or literally anything from Shadowmoon Valley.
Not sure why Orcs should get Clefthoof or any of the hoofer beasts while Tauren has bear, when the Tauren has a close relationship with Kodos. Mm.. makes no sense.
For goblins I always thought it would make more sense if we got the gil goblins as the main connection to druidism. So nazjatar wildlife as their forms, and gil goblin customization for goblins aswell
For Pandaren druids I would personally like it if they take direct inspiration from the august celestials for their forms even making them glowy and stuff like the originals. Cat Form - Xuen/Ban-Lu Travel Form- Niuzao the Ox Balance Form- Chi-Ji (specifically the crane humanoids from the MOP Concept art book on page 170 just use the Zandalari balance forms but reskin them) Flight Form- Yu'lon the jade serpent (obviously micro, maybe a bigger model of the baby dragons) Bear Form- Obviously a turtle I think that they could either stick with the august celestial designs or go for Shen-Zin Su (maybe involving the pandaren heritage armor quests *cough cough*) (Just take the zanadlari bear form and get rid of the spikes on the back) Then Finally Aquatic form should be a Koi fish Also technically in the lore the August celestials are wild gods and I think blessed by Freya, so like both Zandalari and Darkspear trolls they have every reason to learn a form of druidism from them. For Dwarves I think the Wild hammer have more of a reason to learn druidism then so a gryphon flight form would be pretty cool. For Orc/Maghar Orcs they also have the Botani to draw power from which I think could make for some pretty interesting forms but I think the Gronn Idea is too cool not to use and the Zandalari trolls already use the Arakkoa skeleton it may not be to difficult to reskin that to suit whatever race it needs to.
@@samuelsimpson7452 "bears that turn into bears" was stupid even when they said it back then. But it would be way harder to make the ox model work for bear animations then it would be to reskin the ZTroll form. Even though I agree Niuzao makes way more sense for guardian then a stupid turtle does but it would be harder to pull off.
Pandas: Xuen feral, since Xuen is the celestial of Might. Nuzhao bear since the whole Nuzhao's shtick is Protection. Yulon for moonkin, she is the Wisdom Chi-ji for heal spec, he is the Hope. Those are main basics that MUST be upheld. If you are gonna do Panda druids do it right. The rest can be based on literal Pandaria fauna - travel form turtle (pandas travel on turtles, why not become one?) variation of the crane or serpent dragon for flying, that is all you need. I am saying this as that exact guy who plays WoW only for Pandaren and their lore, who leveled all pandaren classes and waits panda druids since MoP.
I think if Druid is the next class to be made playable by all races, they will probably get something similar to what Warlock pets got last patch, a few more generic forms for eatch role, and some color variations of those, leaving the current races with Druidic culture more cosmetic options, while expanding the lore to include the rest of the playable races with generic models.
I believe this is the way it'll go, with more race-based forms later on, but of course it will be decried as "lazy" to implement Druids for all races now instead of two years down the line 🙄
I'd be fine with using generics now with unique forms as they become available. Most people use artifact forms with feral and guard, or stars with moonkin anyway. Plus, it gives me time to level each race as their forms release. Probably need to reuse a few names.
Gnome druid forms need to be balance= sparrow or small birb feral= kitten guardian= Koala bear resto= bonsai tree Swimming=otter travel=small owl/jack deer for ground mounts This is all thank you for listening to my TED talk Edit: no wait Honey badger for guardian
the problem will be. druid will all look the same. when blizzard would doing something like this. it will end like this. like every class has now the same animation.
I have suggested in the past. Druids could "empath" their forms from game creatures as a form of transmog. You would have to find a creature you want to empath from (and it'd have to be rigged). Then, all new druid races would just be taught to empath. Forms are way more limited than gear, so opening the whole world of models would be the best... then Blizz wouldn't have to create one for each race... just rig up new creatures each xpac that can be "captured" like hunters do.
21:24 I always wanted a Yak for Pandaren's tank form. Like respecting the August Celestials forms. Cloud Serpent for travel form, white tiger for feral, Crane for balance... And if you think about it, Pandarens use turtles to navigate the seas. They could use Turtle forms, but for swimming!. I loved this video, Tali! Super hype!
Goblin druids are one of TWO things. They summon mechanical mounts and just sit ontop of it like a mount which would be a laugh OR... OR... Imagine if it was just oil spill victims.
I think Draenie and Orcs fit Demon Hunters very well. Both have a history with the legion and demons and I think being around BE/NE enough, at this point should get them, even Void Elves and Nightborne woud make sense.
Man'ari, Fel Orcs, Naga, Broken, and more would all work quite well. Playable Naga and Broken needed to be playable across the board and fel orc options would be awesome.
great video! I actually think the best pandaren stuff would be tying their forms to the august celestials, so crane as travel, white tiger as feral, green serpent as flight, and most importantly the black Ox as bear form. I think it would be another good example of using their own culture to create their own form of druid stuff.
The forms of druids are related to which school of druidism are they practicing. Some forms are Wild gods, like the bear, cat and stag. Kultiran forms look so different because they have been taught by Ulfar. I think the races introduced to Cenarion circle would shapeshift to the same forms old druid races have. More interesting are the races that would learn druidism from other sources. For example Pandaren forms could be based on August celestials. Orcs could be taught by Tauren, but you could also talk to spirits, since Orcs worship them. Shamans can summon spirit wolves and even transform into one, and i think lore behind this could be greatly expanded.
I think that even if we don't get druids for all in this patch, or even this expac due to all the work it'd take I do 100% agree that this patch will likely be the big lore reason used to allow those new druid/race combos in the future when they are added.
I was very against the idea of all classes being available to all races at first, cuz there is a reason some races can't be certain classes. But lore-wise it makes sense that anyone can study any magic they choose, even if it's against their race's culture, or even if it hurts them physically. Also, wielding two different magics isn't anything new. Priest can wield both Light and Void magic, two fundamentally opposing forces, and Warlocks wield Fel and Void as well. So surely beings infused with one magic (Lightforged and Void Elves) can wield an opposing magic despite their biology.
When they do the universal pass for paladin, I’d hope they update the models for human/blood elf chargers to catch up with the quality of the other races
Draenei would definitely get their druid forms from the broken/list ones cuz they already have druids. Maybe lost ones/broken customisation options for draenei aswell.
as much as I'm looking forward to the many different forms of druids, I kind of like to think of it as one of the, if not the last class they make playable for every race. Maybe before Evoker but after DH.
I don't see Druids being made available for all races all at once because of the sheer amount of work that would be involved. However, Blizzard could take one race an create a Druid class for it to demonstrate that it can be done and to signal their intent of giving the Druid class to additional races in the future.
@@christopherdaffron8115 I think druid and DHs (because of unique forms) will be added piecemeal rather than universal like shamans (because totems just require 4 asset recolors) and paladins (nothing new to add).
Evoker, DH and druid should never be available for ALL races. I'll go even further, Evoker and DH should never be available for any other race other than Dracthyr / Elves. Yes, I'm dying on this hill.
20:01 Pretty sure Elune is from the yet unseen and yet unmentioned Pantheon of Life. Titan-Adjacent like the Eternal Ones at least (Winter Queen is mentioned to be Elune's sister so they're probably all the same species (or "race" as they're incorrectly known in WoW) but Odyn apparently got in the way of us finding out more about that.... [AVGN impersonation] Odyn? More like Oh'd*ck)
For Draenei forms, you have a bunch of animated armors to pull from. Heck, Auchindoun is essentially a factory for hem. Perfect Boomie form. Bears would be Elekks, because of course they would.
Not that I am against the idea as I do love the Wolves there are a few issues. First being a Wolf form already exists in the lore. Though it was outlawed by Malfurion, I could see other races trying to use it again. But that is kinda how we got the original Worgen. Also a key difference between Dogs & Cats which is important to the model working with abilities. Dogs cannot swipe. Yes they can move their arms around, but they don't have the correct claws nor are the muscle & skeletal systems set in a way to give power & strength in that movement like a Cat. Dogs attack abilities come from the mouth & jaw, Cats are front arms, paws & somewhat jaws. So Dog models would look weird doing a swipe animation. However I am sure they could do some flavor text & a few small changes so that yes the ability is basically swipe but it is more attuned to a K9.
I think the tropical island forms for Goblins is better because those islands would be the first time most goblins would have been fully immersed in nature
I don’t know if any one gonna see this but… Goblin Druids ‘Bio Co’ are made up from failed experiments and mad scientist. Their forms are: Hulking Bear, a big green Goblin/bear hybrid (bear form, duh) Radioactive spider, maybe blue and red (cat form) Atomic dinosaur, hopefully a clear Godzilla reference (moon kin form) Fly, a giant greenish fly (flight form) Tree of life maybe a Banana tree for in-game reference. That or swamp thing-ish. (Maybe too heavy on pop culture references, but hey! It’s world of warcraft)
Tha fal’dorei! Which would be interesting as their creation was from an exploding Arcan’dor, which was a tree meant to be a perfect balance between nature and arcane magic
I would love Night Elf and Forsaken Paladins. I've always been an advocate that an undead soldier using the light to protect others despite it making him feel discomfort or pain is a pretty badass character and shows the kind of personal sacrifice a paladin is supposed to embody. Plus Night Elf paladins of Elune that pick up arms to defend the new world tree after the burning of Teldrassil would be awesome.
I feel like worgen should get the Elune paladin theme as an option as well. A werewolf paladin serving a mood goddess just sounds awesome. There's a ton of paladin themes that could be made as cool options for our characters.
@@CrabCrow There's been a ton of great concepts. Keyboardturn/Simaia and Lost Codex had a great proposal they'd made covering a bunch of themes and types I loved it. It'd be another great layer of customization to be able to pick which cosmic power you want to ally with /represent.
If the DEV Team made the class "Machinist" - the class would have "Mech Form" for Tank, "Mech-Suit Form" for M-DPS, "Robo-Turrets" for R-DPS, and "Field Medic" as Heals. Anyone could be a "Machinist" with many class options; and fill the need for a Druid.
The best way to do new forms would be getting the Dracthyr treatment of highly customizable forms to compensate the lack of exclusive forms for each new race, and races included onwards. Same with shaman totems and paladin mounts.
When Ion was mentioned to need a reason in game/lore before giving a race a new class. Shadowlands was the ultimate excuse, The orc that went to ardenweald and bonded with the Winter Queen is now a druid; The undead that went Kyrian, and freed the Naaru, now carries the light; The Lightforge that experienced Maldraxxus and start to ponder the true nature of everything is now a druid from mastering the constructs. etc... etc... The Goblin that saw the maw and help Kirim and modified the protoform forge (miniturization of the protoform forge to effectively give them selves animal forms) like Bear form :Moneymental-turns into a living treasure(the ultimate defense is having a lot of money); cat form: Jani(the Loa of trash have granted this form to the goblins-"Never have I seen another creature that love trash as much as I do, Look at their inventions"; Boomkin: Faeries-(Memory of Lady Moonberries' prank).
As a Pandaren only player, I offer a slight correction to the Druid forms: Cat - Tiger Bear - Turtle Moonkin - Crane Travel - Ox Flight - Cloud Serpent This way you got all of the 4 August Celestials PLUS the Wandering Isle covered. :)
Pandaren could have Quilen as a cat form, even if it is more of a mogu type guardian. Otherwise the pandarian tiger(maybe armored like the shado-pan mount) would be ok, or maybe those Jade or ruby cats that you could also make a mount out off. For tank, I would go with the Dragon Turtle. Moonkin a crane like humanoid, Travel Ox and flight Cloud Serpent, good suggestions.
The horde goblins come from tropical islands. Clearly their flight form should be a Parrot. Tank form should be a Pig (with a greased customization). Melee form a snake or scorpion. And Balance form should be a boomkin, but with a grass skirt. Also, don't sleep on bugs. I think Vulpera and even Undead could have a whole suite of bug forms. And Void elves could draw from some of the silithid models.
Dear Tali, to Vulpera getting Hyenas as their Feral Form, you are actually spot on. That Hyenas are dogs is a common misconception, they are actually more closely related to cats than to dogs. ^^
I think it would be an excellent idea to add 4 new races to demon hunter. Here is my explanation: *Draenai:* They would have the same starting experience as b'elf and n'elf. Lore-wise the Illidari HAD eredar and man'ari in their employ. *Orc:* They would have the same starting experience as b'elf and n'elf. Lore-wise the Illidari HAD orcs and fel orcs in their employ. *Shal'dorei:* Abbreviated starting zone like DK's get. Lore-wise they are fascinated by new magics and seek to never be owned by the legion again! *Ren'dorei:* Abbreviated starting zone like DK's get. Lore-wise they are transfixed with knowing the unknowable and indulging in the taboo!
The best way to pick out forms for most of the races is to look at what is in their starter areas. That's why as others suggested, Dragonhawk for Belf. They have cats prowling around their starting area, too. Cat form isn't really called cat form, it is feral. So you can cross-pick it from Ferocity hunter pets, and that would work. A there are wolves that would work. And a spider is under the Ferocity category. Warp Stalker is under Cunning but it also fits the Cat/feral concept. Slash, invisible/hiding etc, My main question is, who gets a platypus as a aquatic travel form? I think that should be a race that seems fun but has a bite.
Can anyone understand what is said at 23:59? "Instead of bear, they have [???]" It just shows a picture of a Draenei so I am not sure what form is being proposed.
Some brilliant suggestions here, obviously. You can't go wrong with a few turtles and apes, like sir. Please yes. My only thoughts to the contrary; First thought. Sentient, Intellectually-Advanced Races. Races that have examples of cultures, speech, clothes, architecture, art, gods and purposes of their own. I don't see those making sense for Druid Forms, I see them as Allied Races, playable or non. Saberon, Arakkoa, Amphet, Harpies, Quillboar, etc. These are all humanoid races, not basser intellect creatures. It would be like a race getting Tuskarr as a Druid Form. It just feels wrong I'd rather play a Tuskarr or a Saberon, or an Arakkoa. To me it's doubling up on the already cycle-breaking feeling of such a dramatic expansion of Druidism into other races. Which I'm in full support of, so long as it makes as much sense as possible, both Lore wise, and Thematically. Second, I LOVE and have always loved the idea of Emerald Nightmare Druid Forms, back in Legion I actually hoped that there would be a questline. Where that small pocket of Nightmare in the Emerald Grove remains? I'd thought that could have become a Den for Druids that undergo ritual similar to that which Demon Hunters endure, taking in the Nightmare and overcoming its influence, mastering it, and using it against the larger whole. Imagine the feeling of your first transformation as a Kaldorei Nightmare Druid into that Shadow Stalker! We didn't get that obviously, so after that I hoped for Glyphs, Skins, something not tied to Artifact Appearances, but rather, actual story. With that I'll say that the Emerald Nightmare was the thorn baby of Old God Naughties and the Emerald Dream. Where as Void Elves are closer to a "Pure" state of void, and for thematical satisfaction, I'd appreciate seeing that expanded on, rather than forced into a skewed off variation. And lastly, I actually hope for them to pull the cord at some point and just make Druid Forms Race-Wide. If a Goblin can learn Cenarius Druidism, why on Azeroth could a Worgen not learn Kul'Tiran (Drust) Druidism, or an Orc learn Zandalari (Loa) Druidism? -Thank you for coming to my RED Talks.
Pandaren, if they aren't getting a literal panda bear form, NEED to refer to their own wild gods for druid. It's so perfect. Tiger for cat, ox for bear (it's already the tank August Celestial for monk), and crane and jade serpent shake out as balance and flight either way. Turtle can be travel, since travel has to be able to carry another player anyways.
Orc druid forms Boomkin - Arakkoa Feral cat - saberon Feral bear - riverbeast or draenor boar Travel - rylak (flying), draenor wolf/raptor(land) Shark(aquatic). Tree form for resto spec as a glyph (botani)
I like how Blizzard introduced Warlocks to the remaining races. Intentionally _not_ creating sects within each race and essentially creating a new story that informs that the individuals are seeking to learn from others is literally how Night Elven magi was supposed to be explained (but we had to assume as mostly nothing was done other than having a Shen'dralari trainer who appeared briefly at the end of Wrath only to never be referenced as a Shen'dralari ever again. No, players didn't also need to be Shen'dralari, but better effort in to explaining that the training is coming from these former outcasts was important. Same with so many other Cata-era race combos, and certain issues from some of the rogue, mage and priest combos that were added this expansion could've been lessened had the Warlock approach been used.
when i was a kid, i had a ton of cool ideas for druid forms for the races that didnt have them (this was back in wrath) and i told my parents about them and they explained to me that it didnt make sense in the lore and races like forsaken dont have a connection with nature and cant be druids… i am glad that someday (hopefully soon) i may get to see some of those childhood dreams realized
Before wrath even came out my idea was gnome druids with kind of metal skelleton forms, not like real skelletons. But the important thing for me was that you can still see the gnome inside the "suit" so to speak. The rest would be engineer tinkered around them to look like the vanilla druid forms. For me it made sense and still makes sense that gnomes would be able to engineer such things. With a glyph to promote malfunction ofc. xD I know this comment is 7 month late and we didnt get any new droods, but i still hope someone reeds this
Druids are the most difficult to give to all races, as you have to draw unique models of animal forms. And yes, it would be very important to add them to other races a little later. Rogues, warlock, magicians, priests and hunters do not require much effort, which is why they were introduced. This is cool! I'm all for it! The draktyrs also want other forms of mortal races and other classes.
I need vulpera druids so badly. I feel like vulpera and human druids make so much sense in particular. Like just the idea that regular humans would learn from KT humans how to become druids. And the vulpera learning it from the other Horde races upon entering Orgrimmar. I believe it's already been noted that their leader was interested in druidism. Hyenas really would be cool for the cat form! Hyenas, despite their behavior and appearances, are actually feliformia and are more closely related to cats than dogs! In the same way that bears are caniformia and are more closely related to dogs. Though I do think that just having a fox form for the feral form of vulpera would make the most sense for them. Like the vulpera just truly going feral and turning into a more beastial form of what they already are.
I think the Nightbornes should definitely get those Night Fae themed models since they’re basically night elf’s. lore-wise and looks-wise, it makes sense.
Technically @Taliesin spiders actually do have paws and claws, that's how they grapple their prey but they are so small it takes a special microscope to see them.
For gnomes, I would think they would try to overcompensate for their physical "short comings" with their forms. Also they are greedy, yes, and power hungry, so I would think they would take especially big, powerful, and menacing forms. IMO, it's a perfect lay-up to approach a small race thinking they're a push over, only for them to turn into huge, terrifying creatures, like Devilsaurs (cats), Riverbeats (bear), Threshers (aquatic) and so on
During vanilla I got hit with the wand that makes you look like a goblin and I played as a druid. Ever since then I thought it would be awesome to have a goblin druid. I hope my dream comes true.
Dwarf would more easily be explained with Wildhanmer druids - they already were druids in the old RPG - and they fit the whole real world celtic druid really well ! Also pandaren bear form surely should just be themselves since they are bears 😂
I’ve said this multiple times but the races have literally all been living together for 20+ years now. What’s stopping a goblin from travelling 5 mins up orgrimmar to the Druid trainer to learn how to be a Druid. Or any other race/ class combo
I have been waiting for gnome druids since lich king. way back then, we were talking (and joking) about teddy bear form, kitten form, gold fish, fawn, and hummingbird travel forms, shrubbery heals, and baby owl boomie. I want them.... so much.
Race/Class combos I'd like to see: Human Druid and Shaman. There's a lot of roleplaying potential here, and Kul Tirans can already be these things. Shaman totem: A Warcraft 3 human tower with shaman runes. Dwarf and Dark Iron Druid. This idea already exists in other fantasy IP's, so why not here? Night Elf Shaman and Paladin. The shaman idea comes from Primalists like Koroleth, and it also fits their feral side. The Paladin has been an idea since Legion, and it would match the warrior- side of the Moon Priestesses. It's something many fans have been asking for. Shaman totem: Something carved out of Ashenvale oak with a glowing moon symbol. Pally mount: A "Lightsaber". Gnome Shaman and Mechagnome Shaman. They already harness some of the elements in their technology, such as electricity. Shaman totem: Gnomeregan and Mechagon themed conductors. Draenei and Lightforged Demon Hunter. Since they can already become warlocks and have a connection with Illidan through the Outland and Argus campaigns, it could work. Worgen Shaman. Same as the night elves. Shaman totem: Something carved out of the trees of the Witchwood, with the mark of Goldrinn. Void Elf Paladin. They can already become holy priests, there are theories online about "void paladins", and Alliance players really want that "High Elf Paladin", so go for it. Pally mount: "A Light/Void- themed unicorn mount." Orc and Mag'har Demon Hunter. There's the Legion and Outland connections, so why not? There's already one in Hearthstone. Forsaken Paladin. It could work because of Calia Menethil, but would require more story to make sense. Pally mount: An undead "Lightcharger". Highmountain Tauren Paladin. They too believe in An'she, so they could totally become Sunwalkers. Pally mount: A "Sunwalker Moose" Troll Paladin. There are already Zandalari paladins, thanks to the Loa connection, and there's a Gurubashi paladin who worships Kimbul in Hearthstone, so I'm sure Darkspears could do it too. Pally mount: A Loa- blessed raptor. Blood Elf, Nightborne, and Pandaren Druid. These combos pretty much write themselves.
I agree with this wholeheartedly! Also, why does no one point out that, just because a race or culture is predisposed to believing certain things or having certain traits, and so on, does NOT and should not mean that an INDIVIDUAL of that race can't be different, just like in real life. That's also why a race-based Horde and Alliance no longer makes sense and should be more ideology based, if they even continue to exist at all. Why does PvP always have to be Alliance vs. Horde? It could still be that way sometimes, of course, but I think it's time that all races should be allowed to visit all cities and zones (with maybe a few exceptions, of course).
Void Elves and Nightborne I think would be different: Void Elves: while the nightmare stuff sounds cool, I *think* there's a distinct difference between that kind of void and Cosmic void. Colors are used pretty purposefully, and the palette between nightmare/old gods and cosmic are extremely different. Nightborne: I think it's incredibly important to mention something that even *I* forgot until recently, the Arcan'dor is a mixture of Druidic and Arcane magic by lore. They could very well get the fancy Nightborne-style magic outline on everything and be perfect. I think the NE's name was Farodin from that questline? He would be the mentor, easily.
🎉OMG..... i freaked out while at work reading " druids for all races" do you know how long I've been complaining about wanting MORE DRUID RACES???!!!!!! THANK YOU❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
i honestly wouldnt mind if blizzard would say "we're giving all races Druid, but making unique forms for all of them is a LOT of work, so most races will use their faction's default form (Night Elf/Tauren) and we'll update them all with unique forms over time."
This is a video game where people can customize their characters, dress up in pajamas, or run around naked. You don't need any other reason to open all class / race combinations. All druid forms should be open to all druids no matter what race you choose. Forms should also be optional in combat so you can actually see your character. Worgen and dragons should be able to select their humanoid race interdependently, meaning they can be an elf or gnome or whatever as the player wishes. Why we are at it, remove faction limitations. If I want to play alliance as an orc or a gnome horde, let me - it doesn't matter and it only helps the game as a whole if we are being honest. PVP doesn't matter and you will get a bigger backlash by standardizing or disabling all customization in PVP which is the only solution to the "silhouette" argument.
I definitely think looking towards the goblins' tropical side is the key to finding their druid forms. Here are the forms I propose: Bear: Crab or Gorilla Cat: Monkey or Raptor Moonkin: Lasher Travel (Air): Parrot Travel (Land): Idk, Raptor again? Travel (Water): Hammerhead Shark
So for Goblin / Gnomes.... I wish they would release them BEFORE all the others... and here's why. You build a story about the Winterspring Goblins how they have a friend that goes missing and send out a search party. Well one particular curious group of folks head down the furblog tunnel... they head into the Moonglade area. They stumble upon the missing friend who is in the bushes fascinated by all things Cenarion. He/She/They tell all about what they've seen and they all get pumped! They then go to the CC and say "hey we wanna be druids" and are laughed and and told... naw mate. Then they set off on their own and you roll some shit in here about how gnomes get involved and they create a tinker circle and craft mini-mech bears etc... to do all the same things that Druids do. Anyway this has been a dream of mine. heh.
Honestly, After legion, I don't think druids need a special forms depending on their race anymore. Like sure, it would be super cool to have a special model for each druid specialization for each race but lets be honest here, Most of the time people are just use the legion artifact appearances anyways. Maybe down the line that could slowly add more race specific forms, but for now they should just make it to where when your making your character, you can specifically choose your druid form amongst the ones you have unlocked on your account. so If I make a Dwarf Druid, I can mix and match and use of the alliance druid forms (Night elf, Worgen or, Kul Tiran) or if one of the various legion appearances I have unlocked. Worgen Cat Form - Legion Mage Tower Bear Form - Kul Tiran Balance Form. My human form would still be a dwarf but just the shapeshifting changes forms.
I wanna see how night elves are clutching at their hearts seeing how yet another stuttering mechano-druid is running past them spilling toxic fuel and trampling wildflowers.
